Actually I can't draw for toffee and I created most of these figures by sheer dogged persistence until they turned out right. Once I had the first ones done I then cut and pasted elements of the figures together in different combinations to create new figures.
I also sometimes used downloaded clipart to give me a basic shape or template which I would then build on to create what I wanted.
I was very much into the armies of the Silk Road at the time so these were my 'Silk Road Elves' and I themed my army around the idea of them being Elves from the colonies around Cathay. The whole army was available for download on-line at one time, but I ended up not being able to afford the server space and I had to let the webpages go.
The last big battle I had with this army was against UnDead at a wargaming club and I got pasted, but despite this I received some very good comments about my army from several club members who were watching the battle.
A regiment of spear Elves that I'd spent the night before printing out and assembling broke and ran before they got near the foe when they failed their fear test. My two mages failed their casting rolls and knocked themselves out and my great eagle got zapped by my opponent's necromancer. It sort of went downhill after that, but it was still a great game and it was good to see my entire paper army out on the field of battle. (and guess who forgot to bring their camera)
