Pssh.

That's my base. I built it inside a floating rock, and I have my airship (with creeper balloon) on the top.

I had an awesome keep that served as my home, but that server recently went down. And I don't use Singleplayer for building, I use it for testing designs, and most of my better ones died with the old laptop.

God dammit.

EDIT: Wait! There is hope. I can post the Inner Ward from BackwardSpy's server (you guys don't know him). I'll get back to you.

Which one? I have several single player maps running and I'm playing on Matt's server.

The picture of my very first base would simply be a 2x1 hole in the mountain bacause the real structure is carved inside and down below.

My biggest project so far is Castle Seaview at matt's server. It had some cosmetic changes since the last time I posted pictures of it.

I could show you my house from the Survival Island challange map. It has a mob farm with mobtrap, a automated cactus farm AND a sugar cane plantage on top of the roof and the lower floor is under water.

Edit: Just made some screenshots. What you can't see are lower floor, the 20+ bookcases, the brick fireplace and the train station inside. The tracks run all the way down to my diamond mine. There also is a water driven system that transports the drops from the mob traps to a central point inside.

I built my ugly castle on an island surrounded by ice.

Actually, I just took a screenshot of my new updated base:

My nicest one was when I built my base in the underside of an overhang. (expansions were done by burrowing into the cliff)
never made any screenshots.

Act first, then think, then try to find a way to cover up the horrible mess you made.

I can't fit my base in a single screen shot.
I have a cartograph overview:
won't deeplink as the notes are needed for proper understanding and are easier to edit than arrows and words fixed as part of the image.

I'll have a photo shoot tomorrow.

my base is odd, my central buildings are split into three groups, dubbed "central" for the transport infrastructure, "Victoria" for the aesthetic village and parts not fully finished aren't named.

I do much mining in "ferrous", when building i'll build in "Victoria" or continue expanding the snow biome village. planning how to link from Central to the floating island is annoying. I'm considering a station in Victoria and building an underground linking it to central.

I spend about equal in all places, but central is oldest so i guess it's home.
