Na, that always seemed like cheating to me.

Besides she got to pick up some neat loot along the way from the bad guys the caravan guards shot.

Ah, I always spend a lot of time doing random things while exploring, so to save time, not life, I quick travel. I lose interest in games pretty easily, so the less time I can cut doing stuff without much gain, the better.

Caravan guards are pretty weak, man. I find that they die off really fast if you don't use the console to give em armor and miniguns.

On quick travel: Less time walking, more time shooting. Win.

Ha ha, - I'm too much of a tourist for my own good.

Have any of you tried out the rideable motorcycle mod? That's the best way to fast travel :D

I tried it, it's pretty crappy :\

Fallout engine isn't made to handle vehicles, modders have to use gimmicks like using a motorcycle-shaped armor that makes you run really fast, a furniture that can be controlled by the player, or gluing your skeleton to models. The hoverboard mod is alright, as is the vertibird, but the latter is plagued with bugs and the like.

C'mooon, its a fucking helicopter in Fallout.

Ah, when Skryim comes the first thing I'm going to do is remodel that horse into a mightyfine Aprilla Mana.

Quick Travel? Screw it. I'm immersed in the game, that just gets jarring.

Well out of the five guards on that caravan one had a minigun and the other had a flame thrower. They were doing pretty reasonably Ok on that run to Megaton.

More time walking the more interesting stuff you find

Quicktravel means I wouldn't have found a lot of stuff. Yeah. I guess if you're going back in forth all the time, be my guess, but I'd rather traverse the same landscape than stare at a loading screen.

Finally I've got Marie Jordon, - or I should say 'Sister Marie Jordon' sorted out the way I want her to be.

Yes that's a Holy Water gun. I modded up the dart gun to fire syringes filled with Holy Water. She also has a 44 Magnum, brass knuckles and a baseballbat.
The only Nun's habit available had really bad clipping problems with the veil so I didn't use it which is why she's wearing a bandana with her gas mask.

Then I remembered the stormchaser hat and I thought I'd use that for Sister Marie. I know I'd pick something pretty much like that myself in the same situation.
Clips a little with the gasmask, but I can live with it.

Sunglasses and motorcycle goggles are Ok though.

And no Sister Marie didn't shoot Moriarty

The thing that surprised me about Fallout3 is that smoking cigarettes is a part of the game. Back when I was much younger everybody smoked and it was only really the fact of entering religious life that finally made me give up.

This is Zizzie, - this is what happenes to you if you smoke......

Well no not really. Zizzie, - who really is a Raider girl, - tells folk that's she's got the worst dose of sunburn anybody every saw. I'm playing a mod that turns you into a Ghoul if you get too much rads for too long. She got caught up in a major gunfight and turned before she could find a cure. There is an undo option, but I won't bother with it because I'm a roleplayer through and through.

Did some exploring. Took out some Talon Mercenary outpost in the Southwest. Just wasting time.
