I believe the free-to-play version has less content. In comparison the the full game, which has like ten areas and a ton of items and quests, the free-to-play version has only about three areas (correct me if I'm mistaken) and a lot less gear that your minifig can acquire in-game.

I can't blame him. it really was pretty awesome. Had LU kept going for another few years, I would love to have seen what additions they would have made. I think that it should have had a bit more RPG-ish elements in it though. Still, the games was basically made for kids, so I could see the value in an easy-to-make-and-understand system.

I'll pay money when I buy the game, and an expansion pack is as far as I'll go. The "pay to play" concept never sat well with me. That's why Lego Universe never sat well with me.
