Allegiance -- Day 4

Post by Theblackdog » Fri Dec 09, 2011 3:08 pm

Vol Boarding Party
Image
One of the Shocktroopers reboots a computer. There are 3 remaining.
Image
The other troops move up and cover all possible approaches.

T.L.A. Mothership Crew
Image
One of the crewmen charges straight for Bash...
Image
...but can't even pull the trigger before response fire throws his burning corpse against the far wall. Unfortunately, Bash is not very smart, and has inadvertently wounded himself in the blast. He has 2 wounds left.

Image
The last crewman charges the Peaches head on, surviving a hailstorm of response fire and gunning down one Peach.

Peach Abominations Boarding Party

Image
Their attacks continue to practically bounce off the lone crewman. After surviving a flamethrower blast and several halberd and warhammer attacks, he's finally killed by a zombie with an axe.

Image
The peach with an autocannon tries to kill Bash, but his attacks miss.

Image
The zombies grab something off of the flamethrower peach's back, set it on the ground, and pull the lever.

"*BEEP* Thank you for activating your user-friendly Nega-Bomb. Detonation in 3 turns."

Image
The other zombies move up.

Immortal Boarding Party
Image
Caleb tries his hand at an inspiring speech. "Brothers in arms! Know what I hate about peaches? They're so... so... so GODDAMN PEACHY!"

Fortunately his fellows don't require that much encouragement to cause mayhem, destruction, and death, especially if the victims are peaches. All Immortals gain +1 damage against Peaches for this turn.

Image
Bash charges a nearby wall to get at the zombies behind it.

Image
*BONK*. The wall wins this round. It's not a critical failure, so he managed to get back on his feet unharmed.

Image
Enigma uses the elevator for cover as he snipes a Peach.

Image
Krank cuts down another, but a zombie manages to parry his blade, depriving him of a second kill.

Outside the Mothership, new vessels appear...

Image
"Sir, sensors have detected a high concentration of 'naughty' signatures in this area. We believe they may be Peaches."

Secret Faction 2 Activated: Santa's Elves

Image
"HO HO HO, BITCHES!"
The two frigates accelerate, and one launches a torpedo and a missile.

Image
The Peach cruiser takes 3 points of damage in the onslaught. It has only 1 point of damage left.

Neo-Prussian Fleet
Image
The fighter and bomber attack the Britannian boarding pod, and miss.

Image
The carrier tries to take down the Britannian fighters, but its weapons aren't accurate enough.

Image
The Condor manages to kill a fighter.

Vol Fleet
Image
The Vol fighters decide to go out with a bang and ram the Prussian ships. The Condor escapes without a scratch...

Image
...But the carrier loses its bridge. It can still fire, but can't maneuver. It will drift along its vector, eventually leaving the battlefield.

T.L.A. Fleet
Image
The fighters kill the Britannian bomber.

Image
The scoutship EMP's a patrol gunboat.

Image
The Boarding Pod reaches its destination, and Captain Harris enters the ground battle.

Image
The last surviving Britannian fighter kills a T.L.A. fighter. Its non-disabled gunboat attacks the squadron as well, but misses.

Scythian Fleet
Image
The Scythian shuttle docks with the Mothership.

Image
The Scythian troops appear in the room next to the Britannians. They array themselves to make response attacks in case the Britannians try to take them on.

Image
The cruiser starts to turn around. (It's a big ship, this might take a while.)

Peach Abomination Fleet
Image
The Cruiser fires on Santa's ships, doing a point of damage to the sleigher.

Darn, I knew they would do that. Suicide attacks are overrated though. Imagine a fly flying up against a wall. Yeah, it would be that effective.

Your carrier was on its last legs anyway. Its course actually takes it past several enemy ships, so it'll have plenty of chances to attack before it dies.

Something that I should have made clear before: the nega-bomb will destroy the entire mothership if it goes off. It is triggered by a timer and will detonate on turn 7.

How do we neutralize it?

Yeah, basically.

You need to use an Action to flip the switch and disarm it. The Peaches can re-arm it, but that resets the countdown so it'll buy you some time.\

EDIT: just waiting on Scythe, but according to his profile he hasn't visited since I posted the turn.
