I'd love to see a battle with the ninjas, the dragons, MAYBE a Jedi, versus dozens of droids and their vehicles. Also, a fight aboard/ around a minifig scale Crab cannon (That big lazer thing in the 5th episode of the clone wars cartoon.
Yeah, I've always wanted to build another really large CIS vehicle besides my MTT to compete with the Republic army. I was thinking more along the lines of the Super Tank from the Clone Wars or the HAG from the Starfighter series.
Eh, I actually like the Battle Droids...
I don't know what it is, but I just love their spindly design.
That said, I don't really care for Protocal Droids, so I'm not going to include them if I can help it.
I actually like the battle droids as well. I've been wanting to add a few more specialist battle droids since I have a massive and very diverse force of clones, but IDK when I'll get to do that. I also like the protocol droids though, but I only have two C3P0s, and one of them has been missing his head for as long as I can remember.
Well I'd go with the former myself.
Remember that this is a Galaxy spanning conflict, and each side has a helluva lot of resources to work with.
Frack, Coruscant has a confirmed population of 1 trillion permanent ground residence, so I think they'd have more then a piddly three million clones.
It would be difficult for an army of three million clones to hold even a handful of star systems, much less entire sectors of the galaxy...
Indeed, Durge was awesome!
Apparently, his species is even named Gen'Dai.
Yes, Durge was a Gen'Dai. They are generally a peaceful species and can survive for thousands of years. Durge was one of the few bad examples. Their ability to almost instantly regenerate lost limbs make them a very resilient enemy.
Bah. The only good Clone Wars is Genndy Tartovsky's microseries. Where Grievous was jedi slaying, clone chopping, chancellor stealing badass. Fuck the new series, fuck Lucas, fuck books, this was the only Clone Wars for me.
I actually agree. They should have expanded on that series instead of making a new one. IMO, the Muunilist episodes were the best. I have both seasons on DVD and my brother watches them all the time. I will admit that the new series is somewhat cool though in that it has greatly expanded the Clone Wars-era galaxy and has added a bit more character to the clones and droids.

That's probably why I like the B-1s Minifigs more then protocol droids ones though, you can do all sorts of neat stuff with the parts.

Remember when I mentioned that I have a lot of droids with broken arms?
Well...

You know, if Genndy did the new series...

...It'd be canceled after twelve episodes.

Several of Karen Traviss' works have stirred considerable controversy, namely, the "3 Million Clones" debate. Books by her give the Grand Army of the Republic's numbers at 3 million clones; this was seen as both impossibly low to protect the Republics membership of just under 1.3 million planets (meaning 2.3 clones per planet) as well as less than the hundred million men required to fight World War II on a single planet (16 million used by the United States of America alone). These debates broke out between Karen Traviss (sometimes alongside fellow Fandalorians) and the opposed fans she often referred to as "Talifans." The debates were usually held on online forums, eventually including StarWars.com.

I agree with you guys but for some reason this woman wants there to be 2.3 clones per planet in the Republic and then suddenly Palpatine sends out a few million more to somehow control the Empire? :wtf:

Wow Whiteeagle. Impressive. If I built one of those, however, I would put axe heads on the ends of the chains.

The thing is, Palps had secret cloning facilities on some Coruscant's moon, Centax 2, if I remember correctly+ he used Spartii cloning tanks, which grew clones in 2-3 years as oppose to the Kaminoan's clones taking 10 years to grow. That's also from the Republic Commando series (Order 66)

Yup, Centax-2. The strange thing isn't how he did it but the numbers still being lower than just US troops in WW2. How are we supposed to believe that the entire clone army was some 3 million and then maybe 6 million or so troopers throughout the whole conflict?

This is the same author who had a hissy fit and quit writing SW because The Clone Wars showed peaceful Mandalorians and a desert planet instead of the bad ass Mandos living in the woods that she imagined.

I actually liked some episodes in the new series, like the one on geanosis, which was preatty much D-day with clones, or the ones with the :666: 4 armed guy with double sided lightsabers?

:rtfm: Storm troopers aren't even clones, they're conscripts.

Some of the surviving clones did get integrated into the stormtrooper corps however. For example, Commander Cody soon began to train new conscipts after the war, much to his dissapointment. By the time of the Battle of Yavin though, most of them were gone.

Ok, first of all... IT'S WHITEAGLE!
CONJOINED "E"!
:fu:

Second, it really isn't all that much, I just remembered that they're using those little chains as weapons in Ninjago and that Space Skeleton bodies have the perfect pins to make Flail Arms.
Then it was just a matter of connecting two dishes with a cross axle and filling the space inbeween with two round plates with snap holes when they were too far apart.
Though I have to ask, how would you attach the axe heads to the ends?
I tried a couple of things at the ends, and finally gave up and decided on the weighted weed wacker string look.

Third, yeah, Miss Traviss has fallen prey to a fault of many Science Fiction writers, Lack of a Sense of Scale.

Sorry about the name misspell. As for the axe head question, Use the gold ninjago turned-lightsaber-handle things, the pieces on Jay's Nunchaku. You can stick the reverse end into the chain, then attach the axe head to the bar.

Eh, I don't think it'd look the way I'd want it...
...Yeah, after getting it to look solidly attached, the blade ends up on the inside of the chain's arc, meaning that the droid would be hitting them with the Nun-chuck handle instead.

Ah. That and the fact that the droid would be likely to cut itself in half. Didn't think about that.

Friggin' awesome droid. What about attaching something sharp to the end of the chain, like a knife? Or just turning the flails into morningstars.
