You know when you insert or remove a USB drive in one of the computer ports, it makes that sound to warn you.

Well my computer does that sound when I get up from my chair and when I sit back down. Or when my parents walk by or leave.

Is it acknowledging human positions to study how our routines work so one day it can plan the perfect uprising?

It's creepy anyway. Must have something to do with electromagnetic shit even though I don't have electronical devices with me when I'm at home.

Or you have a loose USB plug that's looses or makes a connection depending on whether or not the floor boards are depressed.

That probably depresses the floorboard even more, wiggling it even more.
Check all your USB devices, and run anti-virus just in case.

I highly doubt your computer actually has any way of detecting you...

...Unless you're using some kind of wireless router, in which case your bodies are probably interfering with the signal.

I second the the notion of checking USB devices, exp. if you have wireless keyboards, mice, or headsets. I had this wireless mouse at some point that would stop working if I moved it about a foot away from it's usual spot.

Heh. I've got a bluetooth mouse that randomly powers on when the computer is sleeping, so it occasionally whirs to life at an unexpected moment. Don't ask me to explain the habits of cheap technology.

There aren't any cables near the floor, I don't see how weight differences can affect it. The only periferals connected via USB are the printer, which is connected in the front (visible side of computer tower), and the keyboard and mouse, which are connected in the back of the tower. I am sure I don't touch any cables when I get up or that my parents do when they pass by. It's just... weird. I will try disconnecting the printer cable, if by some reason it has gained movement detection capabilities I'll know.
