I don't play an instrument, only sing. I was kind of... abducted into my band. I was singing through the halls of school, I think it was Welcome To The Black Parade (The opening part), and was suddenly assailed by a random person who wanted to start a band. I don't really have much interest in learning to play an instrument... CONSTRUCTIVELY. I do want to learn to play guitar... just because.

And, Ace, I win. I'm the only guy in my band (Me being lead vocalist, the guitarist, bassist, and drummer are all women of my age :P)

EDIT: Oh, and I nearly forgot: our band's name is Savage Tide.
I win. How many of your band mates like you?

Who cares how a band works if you're dating the drummer?

Yeah. Bands suck unless the drummer is hot. Band=rubber.
I think those stats only apply to non-Mexicans.

Woah, guess I'm not the only vocalist here.... I've been in a pile of bands, most of which disintegrated pretty quickly after some small issue sparked up.
the short list
Bleeding Napalm (Hardcore Punk, in the vein of Black Flag)
White Kids Dancing (punk/ska)
Sewn Shut (progressive metal, like Mastodon)
Captain Coathanger (Grindcore/Progressive metal)
currently not singing, but I'm trying to learn drums, although I may have injured my wrist pretty badly =/

Looks like almost every person i know likes music except me. I mean, i like music, but not to be forced to play it.

yeah, my band hasn't practiced in like two months, but that's mostly because we're lazy.

speaking of several bands, I'm prooooobably going to be starting a band in about a month once i get to college. So far all i have is a band name (The Four Horsemen), and a genre (actually GOOD metal).

So lemme tell you, the amount of women you get hanging off you at shows is more or less inversely connected to the funness of the music you play. Ska is fun to play, always a laugh, but girls never go "YOU PLAY SKA?" prog. metal on the other hand is hard to play, hard to sing for, but women love it for some reason. just what I've observed.

You guys are lucky. Hardly anyone here even knows what Ska is. Actually, some dude complimented me on my Big D and the Kids Table shirt last night, which is an incredibly rare occurrence.

You've clearly never been to massachusetts, here you rarely can spot a kid who's not got plaid or checks on at any given moment.

My town is filled with Scene kids. The Punk group is fairly small, as is the Indie.
