Favorite Spacefaring Group?

Ever since science fiction has been marketed to kids to our current ages, there have been numerous Empires, Federations, Mercenary groups and Space Pirates that have drifted the cosmos. And each of us has aspired to be them. What scifi organization have you always considered yourself an unoffical member of?(list more han one if you wish)

For me, it is a tie between the Mandalorians ( StarWars), Yautja (Predators), or the Space-Marines (Warhammer 40k).

What first got me into SciFi was House Davion and the Armed Forces of the Federated Suns. Gotta love Wolf's Dragoons and the Kell Hounds, though. Plus, the old-school Com Guard were pretty pimp.

Of late, I rather enjoy the exploits of the Republic of Cinnabar Navy (Up the RCN!), the Ancient Sith Empire has a lot going for it (including Mandalorian allies), and the Kushan (Hiigarans) and the Vasari are both great fun to command in battle.

Other than that, I would say Galactic Republic (because the clones were pretty cool until the CLa0nT4RDs came about), Covenant, Mandalorians, and Tau or Imperial Guard.

I have to admit that I was brought upon the sci-fi universe through Star Wars although it is far far away from being my favorite setting. Then Warhammer, Starship Troopers, Battletech, Gundam, Stargate and AVP came along which helped me discover the other stuff like BSG, Dune, Homeworld, etc... Never liked Startrek though.
