The best friends are the ones that insult each other constantly and beat the shit out of each-other. Being the best at this was what resulted in me and a friend declaring each other siblings. All hail the dysfunctional!

Usually a pretty good way of telling how close people are is seeing how many insults they can fling at each other before actually being offended.
