Assault on Iridium Station

Post by Wafflefanny » Sat Apr 21, 2012 10:54 am

Somewhere in the BrikVerse, the REPCONN Aerospace and Paramilitary Organization holds an Iridium mine on a moon of a large, earth-like planet with oxygen based life and large amounts of radiation and post-nuclear residue.

Here is said mine.

Recently, however, with the BrikVerse being as unregulated and without civil liberties as we all know it to be, REPCONN A-P-O has recently taken the law into it's own hands, arresting Mini-fig mine workers for little or no reason, and entirely replacing them with cheap alien labor. Being outsourced by cheaper workforce is not something a mini-fig can grasp conceptually, but being placed in the deepest, most irradiated parts of the mine to blast space with dynamite in terrible conditions is more than a fig can bear. Finally, a small group of escapees, after blasting out of their cells with smuggled dynamite and taking weapons from the mining stores and dead REPCONN guards on their way out, are going for the man in charge of these arrests...
Colonel Darian Salazar, a most hated bureaucrat and sadistic to boot. He is only interested in his personal wealth, and the attracting young fig prostitutes that his superiors send to him when he saves money for the A-P-O.

The jail-breakers, with a hacked SECURITRON, arrive at the facility HQ.

Image

The Alien workers don't even see them coming

Image

The guards have a cushy shift, with only three workers

Image

One is napping

Image

TURN 1, the Chain-Gang Strikes!

Image

The hero, known only as "Scrambler", is one tough fig. He is not, however, the leader of this group. Who is? REPCONN wonders...
With a stolen Disruptor Fist, Scram makes these foreign bastards pay

Image

A ganger with a scatter gun takes point

Image

...only to be charged, and be horribly gored by a worker with a jack hammer

Image

The guards hear the shots and commotion, the sleeper starts awake!

Image
Image

The engineer takes off his pack. What is he doing?

Image

A guard moves towards the chasm, and takes a shot. It goes wide

Image

TURN 2
Scram enters the melee, and dynamite wielding ganger turns a furious gaze to the shooting guard... as well as s serious wad of dyne

Image

BLAM
Image
Image

Scram 'disrupts' a workers respiratory and digestive systems

Image

The white-hatted ganger and SECURITRON take shots, but they are poor shots

Image

The pack hits the ground...
Image
and immediately shifts with a loud cranking noise into an auto-turret, which fires
Image

Landing dangerously close
Image

What was that second guard doing? Calling for backup...which arrives
Introducing, Colonel Salazar and his machine-gun wielding borg
Image

Image

TURN 3
A ganger sees them, and flies into a rage, charging

Image

Meanwhile the melee is all chaos
Image

Until Scrambler trades the last alien workers single spine for two halves of a spine
Image
Image

The mad ganger is intercepted by the remaining guard
Image
and narrowly dodges meeting his maker
Image

The engineer makes it down the ladder

Image

Alas, the Colonel gives the command, and the borg empties a magazine into the charging ganger

Image
Image

THe turret keeps firing, but something must be wrong with the targeting matrix
Image
Image

TURN 4
With an inhuman cry, Scrambler rushes the Colonel, and they tussle
Image

The white-hat and SECURITRON take shots, trying to give Scram the cover he needs
Image

and the last guard loses a leg, thereafter dying of shock and blood-loss
Image

The turret doesn't fair any better
Image

The engineer makes to fix it
Image

The borg cuts the kill streak short, sending a burst into the white-hatted ganger
Image
Image

Seeing the last ganger die, Scrambler hesitates
Image
giving the Colonel the opening he needs... that was a mistake
Image

TURN 5
The SECURITRON barely realizes it's alone, and toasts the engineer before he can get the turret working
Image
Image

The Colonel and Borg turn on the hacked 'bot, and a firefight ensues
Image
Image
Image
fizzle BLAM
Image
BLAM BLAM fizzle
Image
Image

When the gunshots recede, Salazar's laughter fills the empty mine as he strides over the corpses of friend and foe alike, and pulls out his personal radio to call HQ for more troops, bizarre torture devices and a hooker. It will be another "Sham-wow" style evening for the Colonel.
But what's this?
Image
Image
Image
The white-hatted ganger stands!! And picks up his blaster
Image

He adjusts his hat, closes the eyes of his fallen comrades. He places an odd device on the terminal, and walks away.
Back in his quarters, with his hands around a prostitutes neck, Darian Salazar hears a muffled explosion.

That was a good battle. Although, I wish I could've seen the mining facility after the explosion.

nice start, one thing i'd do is implement automatic firing for that auto-turret, it'd boost it's daka 10 fold.

Where is the section on that? I just gave it a "Mind" and let it function as a Long Range Weapon that couldn't move once placed.
