Yeah, I'm not opposed to massed feats per se. Granted, then can get annoying if all the hero does is buff
damage, buff
skill, buff
move and buff
armor every turn ad nauseam. It gets old, is less creative, and is kind of munchkin. Nice occasionally, just not all the time.
But yeah, failure at movement feats are pretty awesome; last game an entire squad was dispersed to the four corners of the game board.

I'm thinking of adding some bits to the Hero chapter about such things. Using your Heroism to inspire the troops is not completely action-heroic, but it's not unheard of either - Braveheart was sort of an actiony hero after all. Sort of. The drawback is, any "inspirational" attempt that fails means that the hero isn't inspirational anymore, and a hero who isn't inspirational isn't a hero. So sure, buff away, if you're willing to lose the hero over it.
Alternately, an Action Hero can only inspire by actions. If he could inspire by words then he'd be a Word Hero. So he can inspire his forces to fight harder if they're attacking the same thing he is, or charge faster if they're charging the same way he is. He cannot inspire them to attack something while he relaxes in the rear guard, or to charge while he's off chatting with the nobles. He ESPECIALLY can't inspire anyone to withdraw from combat safely or surrender more skillfully or stupid crap like that.

Couldn't that just be the bad thing that your opponent comes up with when you fail a feat like that in the rulebook now?

Put this exact phrase in the rulebook. Losing a hero means losing potential for awesome, which is not cool.

Seconded.
This should be in the Rulebook somewhere:
"Any problem on earth can be solved with the careful application of high explosives"

It's already in, it's just been a couple of months since I uploaded the latest version.
