Cabin In The Woods

Postby RoC77 » Thu Apr 26, 2012 7:09 pm

Ok, so I saw this movie the other day not expecting too much, but I was busting out laughing at parts of this film. I don't really watch movies in the theater twice, but I'm going to make an exception on this one.

91% on Rotten Tomatoes

Trailer looks like crap.
But I guess they wanted to hide the good stuff.

The trailer is literally only like the first 1/2 of the movie. This is so awesome. It takes everything you thought was stupid about horror movies and either makes fun of it, throws it out the window, or makes it amazing.

I'm doing my best not to get into any details and spoil it. It references a lot of other horror movies too, and add Joss Whedon dialogue to it, it's just a lot of fun.

Often, literally, a pillow fight but may include similar situations like volleyball, particularly when wardrobe is skimpy and the action is bouncy.

I don't even have words for how fucking cool it was... we saw it at my friend's place, and she downloaded a super shitty quality version of it.

The plus side is that it looked like it was old VHS quality, which was perfect 80s-90s nostalgia.

The minus was that all of the dark scenes were impossible to tell what the fuck was going on like Bonn-o-Tron.

And Sigourney Weaver?!?

I saw this at midnight the minute it came out here, expecting to enjoy it because I knew who was behind it and how they felt about the horror movie genre, but I had no idea just how amazing it would be. It was.... beautiful beyond belief....

That movie was Brikwars.
