Trattorians

The Trattorians decide it’s time to stop playing games with the Siri traitors-their one remaining destroyer launches a nuclear sub-space missile at the Siri-an fleet.

It wails towards the Siri fleet.

It manages to sweep the Siri fighters clean and damage the converted destroyer.

Sadly, the missile had its collateral damage and partially destroyed the friendly Trattorian cruiser.

Praetorians
Image
The captain of the destroyer does not believe the orders he receives, but his good Praetorian discipline prevents him from asking questions.

The destroyer exits a warp portal behind the RIN reinforcement fleet.

It then ejects its antimatter-matter annihilation reactor and shoots straight up in the hopes of avoiding the blast.

As the reactor starts blaring warning lights, the antimatter within flickers for a second or two...

It starts exploding and annihilates the RIN fleet.

The explosion takes out almost any remaining forces in the RIN reinforcement fleet.

Sadly, the Praetorians succeeded a bit too well- their reactors must be immortaltek, for it created a black hole and started sucking in all ships and debris in the vicinity, including the destroyer.

A destroyer quickly deals with the threat.

And with that, the entire RIN reinforcement fleet has been vaporized.

The lifeless husk of the Space Oddity continues advancing towards the remaining RIN.

RIN

The RIN admiral onboard the space station pages Trion for reinforcements-however, he fails (i.e failed heroic feat) and instead accidentally sends a vulgar hate letter to the government of Avalon.

The remaining RIN forces then spread out and try to avoid the incoming Space Oddity.

They lay waste to one of the Trattorian cruisers.

Akkadians
Image
The Akkadians don’t give up, do they?

They succeed in knocking off a few more pieces from the Lady Vega II.

MASS
Image
Despite the giant fleebnorks the MASS crews keep their calm and remain collected. Formation alpha moves up.

A single escort fires on the Avalonian boarding pod.

All Avalonians onboard are killed.

Meanwhile the rest of his frigate colleagues fire on the forward Avalonian ship, obliterating it.

The cruisers turn and broadside the other two Avalonian frigates.

One of them is almost destroyed while the other survives.

Lady Vega II

The Lady Vega II kills an Akkadian fighter and frigate.

Siri Loyalists
Image
The remaining Siri loyalist half-frigate fires its guns and torpedo at the Trattorian one.

The lasers just scratch the paint-job, however...

...The torpedo starts to severely compromise the ship.

Fleebnorks
Image
The giant space fleebnork makes its way to the Scythian battleship.

Its ravenousness knows no bounds-it noms a large portion and starts gaining energy for reproduction.

And it births 5 young space fleebnorks.

The young ones gang up on the battleship and try to feed themselves as well.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch...

The giant fleebnork attacks the MASS cruiser with its nippers and starts to eat it.

The younger ones start leeching off the escort frigates...

...while their friends start consuming a cruiser.

The newly-wounded frigate’s crew bails out in a boarding pod.

The other boarding pod makes progress towards the bridge of the Praetorian destroyer.

Finally, the remaining Avalonian frigate damages the MASS cruiser.

How is that ship able to just blast out of the way after ditching it's antimatter reactor? How the hell is it generating energy for thrust?

Does the black hole start sucking everyone in now, too?

Dilanski told me that it was an auxiliary reactor, but I think that's bs. I think of it more like the ship served upwards and thrusted its engines "down" one last time before ejecting the reactor and then the angular momentum carried it (not enough to escape the black hole, though).

The black hole will drag everything in an 8" radius 2" into it per turn. If it noms nothing for a turn then it will disappear the following turn.

The original idea was to have the ship rotate so its underside faced the reactor and kind of ride the shock wave, kind of like in treasure planet, only more awesome. Also why wouldn't you have two power sources on a ship? Makes sense to have a back up to provide at least some power.

Well, this, along with Unsanctioned, is still alive. I need orders from Semaj, Falk, Ex-Bajir, and IVHorseman for Turn 10.
