Microspace Ship without a Faction...
Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the Enterprise Star Cruiser!
Alas, at the moment she has no faction to go with, but hopefully that will soon change.
The black fins along the sides are the main heat radiators, which are withdrawn during combat. If they were to be shot off, the ship would rapidly overheat. The red plates along the top are the secondary radiators, which help keep some of the load off of the heat sinks during battle.
She mounts two particle beams (Ion cannons) and a torpedo launcher on each broadside. Internally, she carries one heavy laser projector, with five turrets (two each broadside, one on top) that can each be used to fire the full weight of the laser or a small portion of its power.
Her bow section mounts a pair of long-range missile launchers, as well as maneuvering thrusters and sensor equipment.
A shot of her main engines.
The Enterprise in battle, with radiators retracted.
I've tried to give her a more rocketpunk feel than space opera. What do you think?

Re: Microspace Ship without a Faction...
Actually, she would make a pretty good pirate ship...
How 'bout this: she was commissioned by a fledgling star navy as the cruiser Enterprise, but was severely damaged and abandoned in battle. A roving band of space pirates found and repaired the hulk, renaming her the Phoenix. Thereafter, she cruised the spacelanes, searching for unsuspecting prey.
*goes to make space pirate faction*

...What I don't get is why this ship is so... two dimensional...
I mean, if you are going to go to all the effort to include the realism of heat radiators, why should a three dimensional vessel have a defined top and bottom?
It just perplexes me, since it looks like everything on the top save for the Bow could be mirrored onto the bottom, creating a bulkier and lightly better armed ship.

Or at least *some* guns. I really like the build of this thing, but yeah it totally has an exposed underbelly, which is an absolute no-no in space. Remember, attacks might come from ANY direction. The side guns could probably point down, but there's still nothing going on there.

Re: Microspace Ship without a Faction...
Yeah, I was thinking more for if I added a base to it in real life. I can mirror it, and I might just do that when I recolor it red to go with the pirate's name for it (and pick a brick only has one of the pieces I need in red or tan- not grey). I don't know how it would go on a base like that.
Of course, the bottom radiators could be the stand...
And the laser turrets are kinda like the "airborne laser" design for the plane, so basically their field of fire is limited only by the ship itself, so yeah, they can fire "down."

More symmetry (and more guns).
Happy now?
Actually, I do like it. It's a little boxy, but since this is going to be a very heavy ship...
