I did that, because the article was short and there was only one image.

I wasn't sure about the uploading and hosting all the images locally part, but there didn't seem to be any way around it. In any case it'll cut down on broken links, and everybody's been wishing they could upload images here for ages anyway.

I am a bit worried about the space available for that. And the costs. Maybe i am a little bit old fashioned but i have seen many a site die during my days on the intarwebs... Maybe it would be a good idea to restrict file hosting to wiki related files?

Server space isn't the issue it used to be five or ten years ago, it might as well be infinite. The real worry is performance, where the site will start to chug if a million sites across the internet are referencing images hosted on the wiki or something.

The files are all still in the same places, they're just hard to get to. You can still find them with a google search. I want to move the BrikWars Versions links onto the wiki, probably along with any Other Brick Wargames that are still around, and make the wiki a more functionally integrated part of the site.

It took a few tries and killing the entire forum for about 2 minutes, but I got them up there. They should also appear on the pro silver style if anyone uses that one...
