Orkmen of the Western Marshes
From the far west, the Orkish are united under an ancient champion. I forgot to take an Overwatch shot, so you will see the squads individually.
Some of the Blood Orks, the most organized of the bunch. Some have claws that can be used as a CC hand weapons and to counter.
The common Ork spear troops, the officer has a crown because she won me a game of blackjack.
Pikeman squad, one has a claw.
Some assorted Orks, led by an Ork of the moor.
Some Brown orks, they use the blood of shitgoats as warpaint due to them subjugating the local population.
A light Raiding squad, led by a Champiork.
The leader of the combined ork company, one of the Council of Avatars who led the Dersite empire eons past. She is the Avatar of Vengeance (basically stolen directly from ME3) Two of the last remaining Avatar guards are with her, the Phenoix knight (left) and the Boar knight (right). She wields the sword of Vengeance. (gives +2 to damage against enemies who you have a grudge on, in her case, normal yellow figs)
And the second in command, who wouldn't fit nicely in the previous picture.
A hero unit Minotaur who, during the last hollow/ork war, broke the wall of helm's derp using only his horns and 2d6 of mom (plus crits).

Re: Orkmen of the Western Marshes
That's a great idea for the middle guy. It never occurred to me that they'd match so well.

Thanks, it is literally the exact same tone, he used to have a cooler use before I shoved him into an ork squad.

Re: Orkmen of the Western Marshes
I have the PotC guy, now I just need to pick up the Spartan figure from Bricklink.
I also like the variety in the orcs. When I saw the Uruk hai, I thought it was going to be an all-LotR army, but what you've done is really cool.

Cool stuff; I really like the variety of faces and torsos.
Question about the pikemen squad... the guy on the left; what minifig is hat head from? Also the guy with the gouged out eye?
The new orc forge set is a great one for getting a variety of orcs.

Re: Orkmen of the Western Marshes
The head with the blue eyes is from the Atlantis speckle copper armor wearing guy, and the head came from the Fantasy Ork king's castle, it was the head of the Ork King.

I like the alternative ork figs, it feels more diverse with not just fantasy era orks en masse.

Re: Orkmen of the Western Marshes
Ever since I saw the Uruk figs, I thought they'd look good assorted with zombie and wolf heads. Also, the orc beside the spartan torso, is that a stripped Mandalorian helmet?

Thanks you guys! Yes it is a sanded mando helm, I have since painted it black, so it looks even more badass.
Can you mess with other people's posts now Zahru?

awesome army!
Re: Orkmen of the Western Marshes
Loving these new Ork mini-figs and parts. This Ork Horde will make the West Fold fall.
Re: Orkmen of the Western Marshes
Thanks all! I joined the forums right before the return of both Bragallot and Warhead from months of absence, I wonder if I should start calling my self "The Warheadborn", or "The Bragborn".
