So, we have got a new Wiki to play with! And the prospect of kinda combining the wiki and the contents of the forum is really awesome. In order to avoid the wiki becoming a total mess i suggest to discuss everything wiki related here on the forums. I also propose the following guidelines concerning adding content to the wiki:

7. Editing is fine but don't mess with other ppls lore!

The wiki needs content so start to add your own stuff. That includes your faction(s), heroes and battles. It's a lot of work but if everyone contributes we will end up with an awesome wiki.
Editing existing entries is fine, personally i will definitely need help formatting my pages (editing the battle reports i went wtf?), but i would not want anyone messing around with what i consider my own fluff without my consent.
What are your thoughts about how we should work with the wiki?

What i did today: added the Briktopians and a page on Apollyon, added my links to the battle reports page, added the latter to the important things to do list and a link on the main page.

Also, i am not quite happy with the term "civilizations" of the BrikVerse. We were and are always talking about "factions", aren't we?

Important Stuff to Do

Has a list of the most basic pages that must be added to the wiki.

This is my first time on a wiki, so I made small page for the beamsaber. I had a picture: http://brikwars.com/wiki/index.php?title=File:Beamsaber007.jpg but when I tried putting it in the sidebar, it blew the page to enormous, hard to read/ operate proportions. until I know what to do about it, (or how to do it!) the Beamsaber page will just not have a pic. help?

Of course it blows the page because it is huge (2560x1920)!
I fixed it by letting the wiki display it as a thumb instead. Code: [[filename|thumb]]
Other possible solutions: either resize the picture to a proper size before you upload it or make the wiki display it at the desired size by adding resizing options.

Motion to rename Civilizations as Factions and Forces, then merge it with Species and Subspecies. The navigation is getting too long and we should consolidate it. For instance, we could merge battle reports and history and chronology, and vehicles with weapons and tek. Brikwars chat goes into /b/. Perhaps gaming into tactics and strategy.

I'm just writing my thoughts down cause I'm too lazy to actually do them right now- I might do it later if nobody steps up.

Yeah, for the sake of server performance and page loading speed, let's try and keep images to a rational size unless you're specifically intending to distribute them as desktop graphics or print-res files or something. And if you see images that are ridiculously large, feel free to replace them with resized versions.

In my case, I don't mind this too much. Sometimes stuff would reach the Wiki I wouldn't have put there myself, like the separate page on the Dragonheads and the Lady Vega Natalya did.

Merged together a BUNCH of navigation pages together, and it's still too long. I'm trying to think of what else I can mash together.
