17thCMEF Pillar Tank and Guardian Light Assault/Scout Walker

Post by halo 3000 » Fri Aug 10, 2012 2:55 am

Hey guys, I've been building nonstop for the past two days. Here's some of the stuff I've built.

Image

Here is the Pillar Main Battle Tank

Image

Good view of the machine gunner and tank commander

Image

Its pretty cramped here. It took me a while to get them to fit.

Image

This is the back door.

Image

It opens! You can see the main gunner.

Image

Tank without the guys on top.

Image

Hatch open with no guys. You can see the main gunner.

Interior view

Interior view, no guys

And here's the crew. From left to right; Driver, Main Gunner, Machine Gunner, Tank Commander.

I got the design for the turret from here; http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=287847

Image

Here is the the Guardian Light Assault/Scout Walker

My main inspiration was the WH40k sentinel

Image

Here is a good picture of that.

Back

The legs are pretty sturdy. Takes a while to position so it won't fall over. I got the leg design from here; http://mechahub.com/index.php?option=co ... g&Itemid=5
Once I saw the legs, I bought the parts from bricklink. I actually have the parts to build another, I just have to find another semi truck muffler.

I know the feeling.

I like the tank, the interior is really well done.

Fantastic! Nice tank, I used the same inspiration for my Paladin tank. The walker looks nice too.

Your stuff is what I would build if I had the parts, or the concentration. Nice work!

Thanks guys! The tank feels to short, and I can't fit the two guys on top inside. other than that, I'm pretty happy with it. I really like the way the guardian turned out.

Wait, so which weapons are what on the Scout walker?

Also, what are the greebles on the tank sponsons for?

The greebles are just for looks. I thought of the binoculars as cameras for the sponsons.

The Grenade launcher is the gun with the ammo chain.
