17thCMEF Assault Marine concept
Hey guys, while wondering what to do with my newly acquired OTCs and OT visors, I decided to try to build something like the assault marines from WH40k.
Standing near his Iceworldian cousin.
The idea of the assault marine is a heavily armored marine with a jetpack that primarily focuses on melee combat.
tl;dr A flying dude with a chainsaw
Jetpack, my design
Orange Transparent Chainsword. I just cut part of the handle off and glued it in the lightsabre hilt.
What do you guys think? I plan on making about 6 of these guys.

Noice! I like the pack and saw, what did you do with the excess? an OT glowstick would be badass.
The only unflawed system is Lego System.

Those jetpacks are indeed rather awesome - I may have to steal that design.
Not too sure on cutting the chainsaw though dude - but nice work on everything else.

There is not too much excess. probably less than a centimeter. I get what you're saying though.what did you do with the excess?
Haha, I knew that would make a few people cringe. But I think it makes them look more badassNot too sure on cutting the chainsaw though dude

The jetpack is win. A squad of jetpack troopers would be very win.

Re: 17thCMEF Assault Marine concept
These guys look like they're going to be pretty devastating, but will probably be killed by enemies with ranged weapons before the get a chance to be devastating. They probably need a Plasma pistol or an OTC Lancer-thing
Stats?

If you look closely, the guy in the picture has a tactical (?) PDW from BrickArms. Re: 17thCMEF Assault Marine concept
I thought long and hard about this and have made half the marines primarily melee and half primarily ranged. Still, the idea is to hide behind cover and them jump in when they are vulnerable. These guys look like they're going to be pretty devastating, but will probably be killed by enemies with ranged weapons before the get a chance to be devastating.
None yet! college is taking its toll...Stats?
You are right! its the PDW. It has been replaced with a heavy revolver though. If you look closely, the guy in the picture has a tactical (?) PDW from BrickArms.
I have 8 of these guys built! I haven't been able to take pictures yet though. I started college on the 17th and have been pretty busy. I'm also working on getting a table and two of these. Hopefully this can make my building more efficient.
