Hello everyone!

I'm just starting out on the game, and I was wondering what is the recommended amount of points, or how to start an army. I have two ideas for an army in mind, which are Leprechauns or Aztecs. All feedback is appreciated. Thanks!

The recommended amount of points for a Brikwars battle is Infinite, but a nice little 50CP army is alright if you're determined to meet a guideline of an army.

An Idea is plenty - just give your aztecs or leprechauns things to shoot or stab dudes with and you're done. Vehicles are nice, but not a necessity.

I would say there's alot more creativity in Leprachauns. You could arm them with pipe bombs, beer and shillelaghs.

Not too many people actually use the CP system on here from what I've seen. Personally I go by how many minifigs an army has. I like 8-12 minifigs with a hero and at least one small to medium MOC in the armies that I make. Some good advice is to try and vary the weapons that you give the soldiers, because it allows you to become more creative in battle and breaks up the monotony of the army.

For my playgroup, we've decided to use a point system, and since we don't wanna blow too much the figs we're starting off with 50 CP. I thought it would be fun to have kamikaze monkey's with dynamite on them, so I'm wondering, how should I go about this

Well your standard Minifig is 4 CP and that's about the cost it'd take to arm them as well, so you'd have around 6 figure depending on how you'd stat and equipped them...

...Just enough for a squad I think.

I make all of my armies' stats with CP costs included, but I hardly ever use them. Since I love to do massive battles, I'd say CP costs for my games would run about 400-500 CP at least. More if its one of my Star Wars ones...

In truth though, I don't think it matters. If one side is considerably smaller than the other, give them a field advantage like having a base with weapon systems or something to help them fight back.

Hello newbie!

For a starting army I would recommend a small squad, a tank of some sorts and an aerial vehicle- that's my formula for cameo factions anyway. CP has its costs and benefits but ultimately I agree with Benjammin about the issue. When you guys grow your armies to the sizes found in these board CP will be too limiting for any epicness.

Anyway leprauchans sound awesome. We already have an Aztec army (you're still free to make one) but we don't have a space Irish republic yet.

Read through all of the basic rules however damn much you feel like doing, then play a game and fudge everything you don't know. Afterwards you can look up the rules for it.

I just played 4 games of QuikWars, and needless to say, it rocked! We only had 5-6 people each time, as it was a small field, but I think we got a decent taste of what's to come. I have another question, what's the best strategy?

The better for CC warfare and extreme mayhem.

I think we got a decent taste of what's to come.

Strategy? There's strategy in Brikwars? I always thought that we just had our dudes run at each other and go, "WAAAAAAAAAAGH!"
