Briktopian "Vindicator" Super Heavy Death Tank

Post by Apollyon » Tue Aug 28, 2012 5:02 pm

It has been a long, arduous and expensive built but here it finally is, the:

"Vindicator" Super Heavy Death Tank

Image

No gun droops in my house! :twss:

Image

Main gun moves up and down, haters!

Image

One of two secondary guns. They are size 4.

Image

Moar guns on the turret. Can move in any direction. (i took the design from Roc77's ASHIP)

Image

Side armament includes twin machine guns and flame throwers. (designs also stolen elsewhere)

Image

AA flak on the turret.

Image

The side compartments on the back each contain two MkIV missiles with OT warheads.

Back view, duh.

Image

A friend suggested my tank should spawn more tanks.

Image

It's a popular design. A bit smaller than most.

Image

There is plenty of room for infantry. Also note the Mechanik at the secondary/emergency controls.

Image

General Lukas commands the tank and there are four gunners (for now).

Image

Exploded.

The tank stands at 44 studs long, 30 studs wide and 19 bricks high.

And whenever i look at it i have to laugh hysterically.

Good show. Even Roc may have a tough time countering that.

Wow, I like this, I like how it looks, it looks like what would happen if someone got a hold of one of WW2 Germany's supertank chassis and stuck in mondern equipment. I also like the amount of space you have inside it. A true death machine!

I just made an order at pick-a-brick this morning to build another maiden to try and start back up again and then try to finish one of the big 3. I was debating on which one I should do, this pushes me a little closer to the STD.

Wow, Apollyon, I always forget how great your stuff is: This is singlehandedly the greatest SHTD I've seen, period. RoC is right about the Piltogg supertank resemblance, it seems like this is a tank built on the scale of those Star Wars action figures (4''?) but minifig scale. And the clincher is that it is a tankshitting tank!

I never posted pics, but I actually made the first tank-shitting tank. My STD had a small green infantry-support tank with a size 1 gun in its holds.

Very cool! I love the whole thing. you must have put quite a lot of time into building this. I also like to see that predator! I'm starting to think of it more as an infantry support drone more than an actual tank.

I normally don't like STDs, but the fact that this one is so well done (and that it's yellow) make me like it a lot.

This is so incredibly awesome, I applaud your build. Only thing I would change: Please take the two smaller turrets and give them different and shorter gun barrels. The black guns are too long and don't look right proportionately to the rest of the tank.
