Re: Zupponn's Factions and Stuff
Okay, so I've been doing a little work on vehicles for the factions that I've created.
Here we have the Assyrian Artillery Dump Truck.
As you can see we have some nice OTC arms for those pesky kamikazes and CC units.
And the main feature, the rocket pods. mgb said that this dump truck will dump munitions all over your opponents.
The arms can be stored quite easily as well.
And a back view.
And here is the beginning of my Bavarian force. This is their Hopper Mech, a strong and reliable mech seen every once in a while being used by commanders who favor them over other Bavarian vehicles. It's called the Hopper because its mode of transportation is literally hopping.
It has 2 main cannons plus dual machine guns to make sure the enemy stays dead.
The mech was created mostly from what I got in 2 Mandalorian battle packs plus a few more parts to make it look better. So far it has proven itself to be quite dangerous against my Scythians, being the only unit left alive on the battlefield after a skirmish versus them.

Using the dumping function for the artillery is a great idea! The mech is cool too, but it doesn't seem very much like a mech to me. Looks more like a hover platform, kind of like a bigger, weaponized version of Yoda's floating chair.

Nice truck+artillery, although you do know the real color scheme of the Assyrians, right (white+dark red). Still cool though.
Also, do I still have a chance at being able to pick up a few mandos now or are they all out of stores yet?

Thanks. Maybe I'll put some transparent briks below the Bavarian vehicle.aoffan23 wrote:Using the dumping function for the artillery is a great idea! I know the color scheme of the Assyrians, but the STD is grey, so I said fuck it. I think the Mandalorians are still in stores, depending on where you look.Colette wrote:Nice truck+artillery, although you do know the real color scheme of the Assyrians, right (white+dark red). Still cool though.

Munitions dump truck is win on wheels.
An army marches on its stomach, and its favorite food is fudge.

Re: Zupponn's Factions and Stuff
When I was making some Assyrian Microspace Natalya said Dark Red, all shades of grey (although dark grey doesn't seem very common) and white can all be used for the Assyrians.
Regardless, I think it's cool you're also building stuff for other factions because I sometimes refrain from building MOCs for 'cameo-factions' because I sometimes want to keep the parts for 'my own' factions.
It's cool to see people get inventive with those battle packs.

Yeah, the 'straight from the box' stuff isn't really good. I am currently building a faction that uses the fortification from the mando thing for it's explosive crossbow on the front of a recon vehicle.Bragallot wrote:It's cool to see people get inventive with those battle packs.

Re: Zupponn's Factions and Stuff
Just occurred to me-why not put a bunch of spare rockets in the bed of the truck? Then you could have some guy in the back reloading the launchers.

Because in Brikwars, you don't need to reload.mgb519 wrote:Just occurred to me-why not put a bunch of spare rockets in the bed of the truck?

It has 8 rockets so you should be good: apparently a launcher can fire one rocket per turn and few games or vehicles will last that long. In the event this would happen anyway, the truck can always dive headlong into the enemy lines.

Re: Zupponn's Factions and Stuff
The Blacktron guys came in yesterday, and I started brewing ideas for a new faction almost immediately. Right now they are tentatively called the Bushido Corps. I plan on giving the hero in the front a cape and eventually I'll get around to making weapons for the rest of the troops.

I've always wanted to take all my Blacktron II guys and make them a /B/tard Army, but I never got around to it.Zupponn wrote:The Blacktron guys came in yesterday, and I started brewing ideas for a new faction almost immediately. Right now they are tentatively called the Bushido Corps.
