It's quite small.
:twss:

Actually I forgot too, it's not size, but structure level that limits momentum. Your jet would have to have 24d10 armor for that kind of momentum.

So your jet flies twice as fast as the fastest starfighter, I assume because of rockets. Does that mean it can't turn?

Alright, we've been looking at this the wrong way. We've been trying to damage it's hull. What we should have been doing is figuring how to kill this thing from the inside.

By fighting the army and the prowler inside, after fighting your way in? Good luck with that.

I am in the process of making stats for it and it only costs 168 CP excluding Prowler and crew. Pretty cheap!

It can turn, but it has a pretty sh*tty turn radius using flight maneuvering- 58 inches. My rocket fighter will usually be flying off the battlefield most of the time, and if unlucky crash into the nearest wall of the room the battle is taking place in. My goal in statting it was to make its speed more impractical than it is awesome, just like in real life.

In that case I take back my earlier opposition and throw my support behind this ridiculous thing.

Man, that's way easier than going through the trouble of actually having a battle.

Wow. My SHoDT costs 408 CP, including 6 crew and 9 gunnery computers. But I do have tons of missiles and rockets on it.

My STD costs 215 cp minus the crew, troops, or mini-tank. I don't see how this could possibly be cheaper unless there's some crazily different cp-system in 2010, or if my 16 size-2 missiles really bump up the cost that much.

Well just because something is on the wiki it does not mean it is not game breaking. I would not accept such stats in an actual battle i play.

Yeah, i also remember that SHDT tank of yours. It is kinda awesome because it is odd... But 408 CPs? That sound like a looot of fudge there.

Here are the Vindicator stats, according to the 2010 rulebook:

Size 14 x structure level 4 = base cost 56 CPs
10" propulsion = 10 CPs

size 7 main gun x2 = 42 CPs
size 4 secondary gun x2 = 24 CPs
size 3 turret guns x2 = 18 CPs
size 2 rockets x4 = 16CPs
size 1 flame thrower x4 = 12 CPs
size 2 machine guns x4 = 32CPs
size 3 AA machine gun = 24CPs

totals = 168 CPs

I still wonder if i should give the tank "armored" status. Also i had intended those rockets to be explosive size 4 considering they got OT warheads but after consulting the manual, i mean rules i just see no way to justify my launch pads to be size 4.

The armour seems pretty thin because the tank is hollow inside.

Thin? That thing weighs between 1,5 and 2 kgs! Haven't found proper scales yet for a more accurate measurement.
Actually the armor is pretty thick brickwise. Apart from the back chute and the top of the turret it is at least one brick wide/deep.

Oh, it's only a size 7 main gun. *wipes off sweat*

But HOLY SHIT 4d10 ARMOR? AND THINKING ABOUT MAKING IT ARMORED?

THIS IS WHY I HATE THE NEW ARMORED RULEZZOORRRZZ.

Seriously, if that's the case, I could launch this thing at your tank:

And it'd still come out a few hitpoints ahead. This tank is so fucking huge and armed with a strategic and powerful arsenal of weapons, at least make the armor somewhat not-invincible.

It's those plates on the top that look rather thin to me (when you take them off).

4d10 is far from invincible, Collette. Besides, when you build a thing this size, it's supposed (and deserves) to be tough.

I do not like the "armored" rule for vehicles either. I mean, it will only encourage your opponents to shoot weak spots even more while you invest CPs into places that will never get shot anyway!?
