No, I meant the battle where Natalya owned the VoL IRL.

EDIT: Actually, I played the Brittanians in Allegiance. And I got owned. I always loose when I play for them...

That's the battle I was referring to :rtfm: They were owned in Killing Time as well but not by me (by the dice, rather).

Indeed I am.
I wasn't dead in a ditch somewhere, just in Seattle, with no access to my vast fortune in bricks.

Oh, I'm still in Seattle, but I'm having my Vol troops sent up here pretty soon.

At first glance, the Wyrm Light Dropship appears to be a rather unimpressive aircraft, slow-moving and with a much smaller carrying capacity than other VoL transports. Its greatest strength is not immediately obvious: its gravitic hover drive, a technology given to the VoL by the Immortals, gives off almost no sound or heat making it practically undetectable by any sensor system. Coupled with a radar-absorbing outer hull, this lets the Wyrm slip in and out of enemy defenses unseen, carrying a small raiding party in its hold.

Image

The Wyrm is also quite heavily armed for its size, since it lacks the space to carry ground vehicles or heavy weapons. It mounts two forward-firing rail guns to deal with enemy armor, and a flamethrower above the rear hatch to clear a path for its onboard infantry complement.

Image

I'm quite happy with how this turned out, especially given that it was my first minifig-scale build in three months.

Image
That said, the interior is pretty cramped -- it probably fits six infantrymen and a pilot, but they'll have to do some gymnastics to get past the internal bracing on their way out.

Image
Back, showing the flamethrower and doors. One of the drawbacks of the panel construction I used is that it's almost impossible to get a good seal around both ends; that I managed to do so was pure luck on my part.

Image
Doors open and flamethrower pointing down. The flamethrower has a pretty decent range of motion, you can hit enemies directly underneath the ship with it.

Group shot with Mad Lord Bjorn, the infantry, and the Salamander tank destroyer.

Looks a bit too pretty for a Vol ship, but still an awesome shape design. Nicely done.
