I vote paint maps as well, except where we each make our own features of our country.

My faction will be the Noricum Empire, Kaisertum Norreich in our language. It is Austrian themed and I haven't picked a location yet.

Here are some soldiers and weapons used by the Noricum Empire.

Image
Regulars in the infantry. Shown with back packs for long missions and battle armor. They carry the standard OR-18 battle rifle.

Image
Special Forces (Spezielle Jäger), and a soldier in winter combat gear. The Jäger carries a RK-3 submachine gun. The winterized soldier carries an AW-11 sniper rifle.

Image
Special forces diver with harpoon gun and an officer with pistol.

Image
OR-18 Assault Rifle. Standard issue throughout the entire armed forces of Noricum.

Image
AW-11 Sniper Rifle. Ideal for long range warfare. Accurate to 1000 meters.

Image
RK-3 Submachine Gun. Weapon of choice for close quarters combat among the Spezielle Jäger.

Image
OR-18 with 40mm grenade launcher attachment.

Image
OR-22 Light Machine Gun. Every patrol is outfitted with at least two of these weapons.

Image
OR-11 Submachine Gun. Noricum Parliament has found this weapon well above average and is working on replacing the RK-3 with it.

Image
NW-1 Assault Rifle. Shortened rifle with increased rate of fire. Noricum Parliament is working on replacing the OR-18 with this rifle.

More to come.

Khmelnytsky Cossacks don't only have to worry about hostiles outside the border, but inside the border as well. If the serfs don't meet their quotas or are suspected of conspiring to rebel, then the Homeguard are sent to take care of the problem. Homeguard are also sent to intervene in disputes between clans. Homeguard squads are lead by a nobleman to ensure loyalty.

In this photo we can see an honour Cossack, the elite troops primarily used as pre-emptive strikes. They are known for their lack of mercy, their loyalty to their nation and their strength and speed.

Silver, those guys look awesome. Looks like we'll see a lot of rebellions in your country.

Would this work as a world map? Its the world during the Jurassic Age. Its painted, but looks sort of like Google Earth. I can get in there and tweak it a bit, more mountains, greener places, etc. Would this work as a compromise or would the paint maps still be better since they would be our own creations (which is the point of LEGO anyway)?

That map would be fine. But can you zoom it?

Also, since we really can't see what's on the other side of this world sized map, we can add other continents later. EXPANSION PACKS!!!!

Can't zoom it right now. I'll see what I can do.

We might need a sub forum for this game or I can make one. This is getting big.

Map looks good. Also, I'm sure one or all of us can help make Kalvinator's faction. Modern Vikings right?

I was thinking, we could also make micro-navies as well as armies. They'll be used less than continental armies, but Kalvinator's premise is based around a naval based raiding power.

Probably.

The borders of Cossackia. The Islands are basically satellite states, each with a small tribe with leaders that have bent the knee to the Sovereign.
