Re: Another Game?
How about this for New Scandinavia, I know its a bit large, but since its sparsely populated, I figure it could be bigger.
Re: Another Game?
I'll put a stake in the world
The Gelid Union or G.U. Gelid has a similar meaning to Arctic. They've lost territory to the New Scandinavians. Hence the green line.
Now for the GU:
This nation resides in the far Arctic north and are lead by a mysterious figure known only as: "The Chairman", A dapper looking gent with mustache, monocle, and hair still on his head. He's far right, front.
After that we have the normal GU trooper in the back and on the right. They wield high-powered single shot rifles, have Arctic adapted armor and shields, and carry a pick on the end of their gun.
Next to the trooper is the special operations elite or S.O.E. They carry powerful dual barrel pistols and katanas. Their training has made it nigh impossible to spot them in their arctic home.
On the left and in the back is the marine trooper. Designed to operate in frigid waters, they carry chainsaws on their harpoon rifles to ensure escape from the ice. They have redundant systems as well, from two propulsion units to two oxygen tanks. They have learned that the waters they swim can be more dangerous than any army on the planet.
Wearing the red scarf is an officer. They op to go without ski masks so as to not obstruct their speech and carry the S.O.E pistol with hatchet attachment for hacking ice and limbs.
Finally on the front left, we have the navy's sailor. Their armor is adapted to help them survive in frigid waters and even has an air supply if need be. Naval officers wear a red scarf as well.
And now, the GU Navy:
The skate is an anti-air machine gun unit, the 3 stud ship behind it and the 4 stud ship to it's right are interception ships. An aircraft carrier is on the right with a Guass cannon, making it a support unit. The largest ship on the left is a GU battleship. This vessel carries two howler missile turrets and has three proto-type rail guns. The third largest ship is a destroyer with anti-interceptor class and anti-battleship class weapons.
All GU ships have limited submarine capability, being able to go underwater to the point where 20 feet of water is above the ship bridges. These ships have 24 hour air supply in these situations and all GU ships have at least some torpedo capability.

Re: Another Game?
Gauss, or Guass? Because I don't know what Guass is.

Re: Another Game?
My mistake, it's Gauss. I didn't quite have a spell-check help there. ^^;

I combined the previous two pictures and cleaned them up a bit. Then I added my own faction, Gotland, for the fun of it.

Re: Another Game?
A mockup of what the New Scandinavia forces.
Left is a marine(I imagine New Scandinavia to be navally based but that's for Kalvinator to decide). Middle is a fabled Captain called Jörmungandr and on the right is a pilot.
This sig is too fucking large: show anyway

Re: Another Game?
Here's my place! Hooray! Noricum does claim the island chain off to the west there, but we can't effectively inhabit it, for now. Seeing as how we're all taking up huge amounts of land, I'm going to add some other continents soon. In the mean time...
His Excellency, Kaiser Ludwig von Norreich, proposes that a league be established wherein we may discuss the affairs of our nations as dignified gentlemen. Our recent war with Cossackia (that's right Silver, we have a history...) that resulted in a stale-mate proves that warfare must be conducted in an organized, sophisticated manner where both sides may communicate when needed. (I'll post a back story if you like.)
Any suggestions for such a league to exist?

Also, is hover OK? I mean like a couple meters of the ground, like skimmers or other swamp craft.
I'm going to post my faction once I think of a name. (this evening or tomorrow)

Re: Another Game?
If it currently exists, and not as some experimental stuff, then yeah, hover is good. After seeing your post I'll add more land. Give me some time, school is really cracking down on me. Anybody got a nice DSLR they can sell me?

Here's the GU delegation for discussing national affairs.
"Now men, I want you on your best behavior! Roland, you are merely an honor escort. If they ask for your weapon you hand it to them. Understood?"
"Yes Ambassador Hoffs."
The Ambassador is escorted by a personal escort and their pilot.
This meeting should prove interesting.
Re: Another Game?
Mmmh sounds tempting. But if that wasn't for that boarding school
