It's okay, it's the same thing as usual.

He's mad because he wants us to take his complaining seriously, and he thinks that we should have to make the effort to understand his complaints.

The reason he's complaining is: there's some group of people that wants him to take their complaining seriously, and he doesn't think that they should be allowed to complain.

I think I deleted it. I often go back and delete posts and threads that I think will set a bad example for future n00bs just entering the forum. A lot of people were taking things seriously in that thread, and that's one thing I definitely don't want to encourage. (Myself included maybe? I can't remember anymore which arguments were the ones I let myself get caught up in.)

(In case anybody didn't realize, since it was mentioned, I'll happily go out of my way to "show my stupidity to everyone" if I think somebody will get a laugh out of it.)

Anyway I'm wondering if Brag is right, and my inability to take this "People Are Sissies" thing at face value is stifling important legitimate discussion of what really is a pretty BrikWarsy idea. Since this is the first time sports fans have overreacted to something minor in all of human history, maybe we really should explore the possibility that this event is indicative of a pervasive and alarming wussiness throughout all of liberal Western civilization.

Should I just agree to bow out of this thread, give Brag free rein to promote this argument on its own merits, and possibly convert dozens of you over to his way of thinking? Re-reading this thread, it's probably better off without my contributions.
