I think they fixed it now, I looked it up on googlez and someone said they added a line of code so players can't spawn as a zombie if they already spawned as a zombie once.

Plasma rifles? When do you ever use those... You do play on Legendary, right?

Use them to blow off hands from flood things. Also, plasma pistol is awesome, and underused.
Halo CE one of my favourite games of all time...

Underused? there's a reason dual wielding magnum and plasma pistol is referred to as "noob combo".

@Mgb both the assault and plasma rifles are utterly worthless on any difficulty higher than Normal.

I find that I have the best results with the battle rifle combined with the energy sword or shotgun. Also acceptable is pp/magnum or plasmarifle/smg if i cannot find the former.

This is assuming no power weapons like sniper rifles, lasers, or rockets are easily available.



Something I've always loved doing in Halo 3 is ripping off a turret in multiplayer, than walking on top of a Mongoose driven by a friend- the end result is like a tiny, awesome Warthog that nobody expects!

I meant plasma pistol at it's own, without combining it with headshotters. Like, just blasting with it.
Anyways, imo shotgun is more of a power weapon than the sniper rifle.

I see your point there but I think the sniper rifle is more powerful, it's much harder to defend against (although it does take a modicum of skill to use).

Against a shotgun user you generally have the option of reversing, strafing, and 4-shotting him, while with a sniper you could be dead before you have a chance to react- although if he misses you can generally strafe and Ghandi hop long enough to figure out where he is and shoot him to break his scope.

Even on Legendary plasma takes down shields pretty fucking fast.

Of course, this is pretty much only in ideal situations, where there's only one elite left and you or your buddy can switch over to something that actually does damage once the shields are down, or you can get close enough for a punch to the fucking head. You're still better off with a shotgun or a magnum.

You are right about all that. The fact what makes the shotgun so powerful is that it is easy to use, though it is nothing compared to the rocket launcher..

The rocket launcher is pretty hard to get kills with in high skill games, again, assuming you do not surprise the other guy- the slow projectiles are easy to avoid, even if you do know to aim at objects and not players.

In the good ol reach days, I no-scoped against shotgunners and won easily, I feeded the entire enemy team with no-scopes and quickscopes in Team Snipers. Multiple times. I was so addicted to that gun.
