I'm not sure if Brag is holding off on judging or something, but just to make it clear Blood and Particle Physics was posted within the deadline since it was posted on Friday (as was the General Blut battle).

That's cause you live in a different place than me. It says Nov 2 10:34 for me, and I don't feel it's fair to have anticipate other people's timezones for the deadline (since it was before 12:00 for me). Please Brag, I had to upload it late at night because it was the only time I had to do an actual battle report what with homework et al. I would feel bummed beyond description if I was DQ'd despite being technically legal because a judge lives in a different timezone and it was one of the only chances I have to participate in a competition like this.

Also, evidence:

Well, those are the risks of waiting until the final mo-

Nope, just kidding. I just wanted to see your reaction. I'll see if I can find the time to judge those two then. The rest look like they're definitely too late.

For those waiting for the results, I added all the preliminary scores:

Tale of Lager: 11.2
SHORT Battle for the Aesthetically Pleasing Hills: 9.5
Dunes of Blood: 11.5
Island of Maniacs: 12.7
Battle for the Aesthetically Doubtful Island: 8.7
Ghosts in the Darkness: 11.8
The Battle of Six Armies: 10.7
Battle for Fort Admin: 13.6
Casual Friday: Killer Brooms and Mexican Superspies: 11.7
Battle for bluey: 9.3
The Massacre of Nova Colonia: 11.9
Blood and Particle Physics: 13.3
Battle for Forst Matip: Both Brag and Silva need to judge. Otherwise, 3.
An Old Friend: Brag needs to judge this. Otherwise, 9.8.
General Blut’s Expedition: 10.3
First Snow: Brag needs to judge, otherwise, 7.6
QOP Head Separator: 12.8 (DQ?)
Crimson Crusade: 13

Preliminary Results:
The Prelim HH Lord of Battle would be Zupponn and his Battle for Fort Admin. Missing the mark by .3 points ( :| ) would be colette's Blood and Particle Physics. For third place would be alphafalcon541 and his Island of Maniacs QOP Bragallot's Crimson Crusade. Prelim congrats to everyone for participating, and to Zupponn for making one of the funniest and enjoyable battles ever.

I think Brag has stated explicitly he will refuse to judge all late entries (implying a score of 0/0/0/0/0) so these results are pretty much it. Also, I want Paco to verify my math since the competition seems so close.

I think Zupponn winning is the honest result anyways. You forgot Natalya's though. And mine, and maybe some more.

Fine, if QOP: Head Separator were eligible it would get 12.8 points, putting it in third place. I will assume the judges' judging of the battle to be implying their approval of it and so I guess it would be eligible. Besides, it wouldn't change the second and first place entries anyway so it doesn't really matter.

EDIT: TROLLOLOL I forgot Brag's battle cause it wasn't on the list. 8.2 points to Crimson Crusade but Silva needs to judge.

EDIT II: Crimson Crusade has now been updated. Also, Brag even if you refuse to judge an entry just leave a 0/0/0/0/0 for lateness just to move procedure along. Otherwise people will complain there is still stuff left to judge.

I'm pretty sure people will complain either way, Colette.

Is it such a big deal to be a bit late? I am not going to win anyways :) I understand it in BrickSyd's case, as he would probably win the competition, which I wouldn't mind as he deserves it. Wasn't crimson crusade winter war posted before the contest even started anyways?

Since it's a huge report, I split the upload of my report over several dates, most of which were in between the two Fridays. It was always meant to be for the HH.

If you think too late should count and 'too early' shouldn't, you can always pull back your judgement from my report.

Being the devil's advocate, wouldn't the QOP Head Separator also be eligible if Crimson Crusade is? Both could technically be considered "too early", and I remember Crimson Crusade didn't have the [HH] in the title in the beginning. I guess the best way would be for stubby to do a What-I-Say-Goes roll for eligibility.

I only gave the Head Separator points based on the turn that was posted, which rules out the rest of the battle, and the turn itself was neither late, nor was it early, it arrived precisely when it meant to.

Winter War didn't have HH in the title at first because... *drum roll* I didn't know whether I was going to finish the write-up on time to put it in the contest, but in the end I did, so I only submitted the finished battle report in between the allowed time period.

stubby already gave his opinion:
stubby wrote:I'm not on the HH judging team, but I think it's fine if each judge judges according to their own arbitrary feelings on how judging should work. If it were me I'd judge the qualities of this turn by itself, as opposed to judging the battle as a whole, and not worry too much about it.
So I'll say it again, KK and Silva should be left to judge however they will.

I can't believe we're fighting over this while we should be celebrating Zupponn's magnificent win.

It's not official yet. Paco has to verify everything and announce it. Zupponn can only claim the title of Preliminary winner right now. Think about it- I don't want to steal Paco's honor of officially announcing the winner because I don't run this thing. My scores were just to give a rough idea of the situation and placate everyone with some preliminary results.
