halo 4 is a step up from reach in-terms of story line for me. i hated the retcons of reach that made the second most fortified planet in human space complete push over. this campaign while a bit Silly at points, was fun and satisfying. the enimes where varied and taking them out took skill and tactics, and after some covenant levels i had to work to get back into fighting the Prometheans.

also the mammoth is fucking awesome.

i like the new tweaks to multiplayer and how most of the new ordinance stuff is not game breaking. but i agree it is over all meh.

What? THE GAME ENDS WITH A SERIES OF QUICKTIME EVENTS! That is the least fun and least satisfying thing I could imagine!

haven't finished it brah, so no final say. i was stopped with in 5 minutes from the end. and in my opinion the end does not change the over all package, i am not going to hate a turky dinner if the mint wafer at the end tastes like shit. and in this case, i know two more turkey dinners are on the way.

I've decided that I want to build a mammoth-esque vehicle now, as well as some kind of walker-things for the Kuragin and Calvarians akin to the mantis, as they have no mechs.

just finished my first batch of regicide games, i had a blast hunting down the king and killing competitors then fighting tooth and nail to maintain my hold over the crown. this gametype gets an A+

you don't get an over sheild or any extra power as the king unless you stay alive for long periods of time, and the abillities and packages and what not made it very hectic.

also my brother started yelling in delight when he found the railgun and used it to blow away three people in quick succession, me being one of them. that is a good sign of a satisfying gun.

I first thought that the railgun was going to be an awesome gun that I would go for all the time, but I've found that its kinda hard for me to use. It would be a lot more useful with a scope, IMO.

I think that the SAW and the Sticky Detonator are much more effective. I've actually gotten several killing sprees just with the sticky detonator alone, which I now call the "C4 detonator".

Main improvement I noticed was that Master chief is no longer limited to speaking in cut scenes.

I prefer the Cheif as a silent man... as an actual person he is kind of boring, its much better when you accept him simply as the avatar of the player.

I have a grudge against silent protagonists. They bore me.
