Also even though Japan is a warrior culture it's history of war pales in comparison to China or even Korea.

And how many times has Nihon-koku (Japan, for silva) kicked China and Korea's ass. In the 30's, a massive Japanese invasion conquered a rather large portion of China. So much so that the United States cut off oil supply to Japan and sent fighter aircraft and trained pilots to China. Also, flags:

There's a book called The Jungle Is Neutral out there, written by a W.Chapman , it is a memoir made from his journals during the 3 years he spent as a guerrilla in Malaysia thwarting the Japanese invasion. To my knowlege there are no .pdfs of it around , but there is a Let's Read out on the internet, and some copies on Amazon.

Yeah, Japan is awesome for having defeated an outdated, corrupt and weak country with it's experienced army, especially after taking over Manchuria which was a manufacturing and oil laden province. Especially when they snuggled, tortured and enslaved Chinese and Korean women. It was also awesome when the USSR kicked Japan's ass and did the same thing. Plus, while Japan's victories over the Mongols were due to very lucky typhoons and the fact that Korea notified them when they would be attacked (yes, Korea saved Japan's ass) if those typhoons hadn't happened then the Japanese wouldn't have stood a chance. While Samurai were strong in 1 on 1 type dueling, Mongols were experienced in actual warfare. True story: during the first Mongol invasion of Japan the Samurai would yell out in Japanese to challenge the charging Mongols. The Mongols just attacked in units and wrecked the Japanese. The only reason they won is because the Japanese had made horse traps and because a typhoon killed 1/3 of the invasion force, which was subsequently whittled down.

Here's the flag of WWI and WWII's elite troops.

Well, the USA were the MVPs of both wars but Canadian troops were Britain's top scoring players. The CEF advanced the furthest out of all the allied troops, not to mention Britain's greatest pilot and the record breaking Canadian crops.

In WWII we fought in some of the toughest battles(though the same can be said for the Soviet Union and the USA) and without our sacrifice at Dieppe, Americans would have to learn amphibious attacks with their own mistakes.

The Canadians would too if we had enough numbers. Our navy and merchant marines were being used up in the battle of the Atlantic. Also, we invented corvettes.

I can recall a good amount of Canadian influence during the Normandy invasion.
And Japan's navy was the best of the best, until they bombed Pear Harbor.

And I could have won both wars by myself, if I had 10 million clones and then sent back in time.

And Piltogg Germany would have never stood a chance against counter attack by ice bridge.

I do think though that Canada did good for such a small country. Although we did have massive resources to fall back on.

Canada is the third largest country on Earth. You are anything but small.

However, our total population is very small.

Image

Compare it to the USA who had over 132,000,000 in 1940 or the tiny islands of Japan who had 70,000,000.

Even today there are more people living in Mexico city than the whole of Canada.

Also, we're the second largest country in the world for total area.

It's more like you're just holding all that land the US is going to expand into when we outgrow what we have.

As if we'd ever wear descendants of the French for a hat...Ha!

Ironically if you guys were to invade Canada, Quebec would most likely be the last of the Southern provinces to fall.

Image

(map for people who don't know the Provinces)

I can see a provisional government either up in the Northwest territories or the Yukon or perhaps in North Quebec. I would guess that you guys would try a dual-pronged attack, one in the west to take the Yukon, B.C. and Alberta and one in the East to capture the most populous regions as well as Ottawa. The reason Quebec would be harder to take is that Quebec is probably the most violent part of Canada as well as how far it extends North. Canada's best hope in winning or at least forcing the Americans to sue for peace would be to hold out and wait for the Commonwealth reinforcements(and possibly counterattack) and to make a defensive alliance with India prior to the war.
