Your crust is pretty cool. But why would you use a lattice on an apple pie? The lattice is usually used for berry pies.

I've seen lattice on apple pie before, quite often, decades.

Mince is best.

This is the first time I've made a pie from scratch, and lattice seemed like the most fun. I served it to my family with Tillamook vanilla ice cream. It was exquisite. Next time I make a pie, I will have to try rhubarb.

I didn't get to eat anything exciting yesterday (or really eat anything at all) but I got to give a 4 hour mid-term exam to my students. I've never seen so many looks of pure agony. I really enjoyed myself

I don't have pics, but I made my grandmother's apple pie recipe and also a loaf of bread if that counts as pastry for this challenge.

I'm still swimming in apples, so who knows, maybe there will be an internet-pie for you in the next few days.

Okay I made a pie yesterday.




It is a combination apple and blackberry pie. I don't know if it is 4G enabled or not.

Some of the seams broke and leaked, but that isn't important. The important part is that it is totally awesome.

I didn't do any baking, but my mother is famous for it in our family.
That's why she's always stuck making the pies for Thanksgiving, even though she was also busy this year preparing our house to host it...

...She made a couple of Pumpkin and Walnut pies, but the big favorite was ether Banana Cream or Lemon Meringue... can't remember which fluffy white topped pie with yellow filling it actual was since I never eat it.

I recently had both pumpkin and pecan, two of my absolute favorites. Apple is one of my favorites too. Not much of a cherry or coconut fan though.

Nice pie! No baking this year for me, I ended up picking up pies at Polly Pies. All this baking makes me want to bake anther Mock Apple pie.
