I don't get why you're defending its lack of visual development. Just because the creator puts lots of thought into one aspect of the game, he gets to completely slack off in another?

Yes. Especially when the graphics are purposely made this way. It's like listening to The White Stripes. Meg White is a shitty drummer, but her poor performance only enhances Jack White's exceptional guitar playing. In this the low graphics are there to enhance the game's better qualities.

Well, I guess it's a good thing none of us called this a shitty game, then. There are chess sets that have extremely detailed pieces that look incredible. Some people prefer that to the abstract representations you find in a traditional chess set. Exact same game, but it looks more developed.

Literally nobody who likes the game of chess because it is a game will refuse to play it because it's not the fancy $2K chess set. Chess is still chess no matter the pieces - anyone who will only play with the pretty pieces probably has no idea how to actually play chess well.

Depends what you mean by tonight Zuponn - i'm gonna be hanging out with friends who may or may not want to watch. I've noticed that people who watch me play for a whole game or two start getting really fucking into it.

I'll try to get on mibbit chat around 9pm CST tonight (Saturday, December 8th). I'll stick around for a few minutes and if someone shows up, then I'll hook up with them for a few games. If not, then I'll just go play Brutal Legend or Space Pirates and Zombies.
