Why does cannon fodder need armor?
Re: Heroes being badass
Even though they're cannon fodder you still need em to TRY and do damage.

If everyone who runs and red shirts for the hero has armor, then the hero him/her-self does not need armor.Cytheran wrote:Why does cannon fodder need armor?

Apart being or not being a really badass, a hero has 2d6 armor with or without wearing an effective armor? If a hero has 2d6 base armor..putting up an armor like other minifigs could boost the armor to 3d6?? that's a rule question but still IT, I think.

No, it would be either 2d6+2 by the 2005 rules or 2d6 and attacker loses one die by the 2010 rules.ameelus wrote:Apart being or not being a really badass, a hero has 2d6 armor with or without wearing an effective armor? Buy extra movement or say it is light weight armour or fudge it.Arkbrik wrote:Armor does make a hero look pretty badass. But it reduces their move to 3.5", which is not so badass.

Heh, my Nephew used his MOC Slenderman as a Hero when we Brikwar'd...
He had the ability to teleport anywhere, but my Nephew thankfully agreed that his Nice Suit wouldn't give him that much protection...

Re: Heroes being badass
So the Trattorian military is mostly run by armchair generals and admirals (or worse, politicians). I like the idea of them doing cliché feats since they are the leaders after all, but I don't feel (as a general rule) that they're physically and stronger or more badass than the average grunt. I'm thinking about modifying their hero stats to keep the higher skill but drop the move and armor bonuses. What do you guys think I should do?

Re: Heroes being badass
Go for it. You could also have the hero be an ordinary grunt and have the general take credit for any successes.
