I got a sweet GPS/PLB from my pops. Now if I get a mechanical injury while hiking alone, I can call directly to the park rangers/SAR teams and give them my exact location, with just one button press!

Only gift this year :| , and now I feel super-guilty for not getting him anything. I'll have to bake him a pie or something and give it to him for New Years...

I just completed my 3-part Manly Santa Day. Highlights include a catalytic converter from my grandfather's store, computer parts (motherboard, CPU, and RAM) from the other side of the family, and Brickarms from my parents.

Unfortunately this Yule, no one was cool enough to get me some Lego, however, with the money I got, I'm planning on buying one or two mid-priced sets. Any suggestions?

Despite the huge amounts of clothes (I was needing them since I can't wear merch all the time) and a copy of Battlefield 3, the rest of my Yule loot, some offered by my gf, friends and family, was pretty :666:

A pack of t-shirt+CD of an awesome rising portuguese thrash metal band, Revolution Within.
A t-shirt of Black Sabbath's legendary '78s US tour plus a Deluxe Edition of Master of Reality.
A bunch of cool guitar picks.
January 2013 UK Metal Hammer that came with some nice extras, including a poster-calendar with a different band for each month.
That small, awesome, black and withe sticker saying "Metal God"
And best of all, a ticket for Iron Maiden's 2013 tour, they'll be coming by around May.

Fuck Yeah.

Set Suggestions:

In all seriousness, I would recommend the Galaxy Squad Vermin Vaporizer. It looks like it has tons of fun and a cool design, the only bad thing is that it has one of those lame beetle people instead of the mosquito aliens.

You know that it is against the Laws of Metal to wear tour shirts without having been at that tour/concert?

I'm aware of that and always avoid wearing stuff of gigs I didn't attend, but many bands re-issue good selling tour t-shirts, it's more of a marketing strategy to make more money than anything else, really. Besides, the person who gave it to me wouldn't know.

If you couldn't attend because you didn't exist at the time you're allowed to wear the merch.

I can confirm Vermin Vaporizer is nice. I gave it as a gift to my roommate.
