Why don't you combine the gunship and air transport, like the Star Wars one? It'll use less pieces, and it will be easier to protect your troops, and it can provide air support. I obviously don't know how much lego you have, but it'll leave pieces for a fighter or bomber.

I already have fighters and a drop ship but the dropship is gonna be scrapped for a new one. And I have a ton of legos to work with so I should be fine.
