Oh shit aoffan I misunderstood your post. Are you saying that you reserved the 26th for the BrikWar? If so, I am good for that day too.

I did, but I can still reschedule by the end of today. I can do both dates, so it doesn't matter much to me. N1S3R, what date works best for you?

Okay, then if we don't decide otherwise by 9 o'clock tonight, this will be on Saturday, January 26th, 2013. Unless of course someone ends up not being able to make it.

PM'd Blitzen asking about the date, I expect she is in class right now but she may answer when she gets a break or whatever. If you send her a PM it goes to her e-mail, otherwise she doesn't really check here often.

That's a useful tip.

The 26th is fine for me, too.
Often, literally, a pillow fight but may include similar situations like volleyball, particularly when wardrobe is skimpy and the action is bouncy.

Re: I'm like in Ontario now.
Okay then, we BrikWar on the 26th. Let us setup some game paramaters...
- 2010 rules
- No super-nukes that can level the whole field in one turn
I guess those are the only rules I care about.
Oh!! I have next to no terrain, can y'all bring baseplates and//or buildings? Also, I'm thinking we should just knock over people who die instead of dismembering them because it will make cleanup easier. Just an idea... Oh and bring stats for your dudes. I'll be using the Space Canadians who are documented on my phone. Time permitting I may get a momentum damage calculator or something built in too, but don't keep your fingers crossed.

I only have 2 normal sized base plates and a few smaller ones but I can bring them. What kind of buildings do you want? I prob can't bring a ton as I'll be taking the subway but I'll see what I can fit. Also I'm new to this but it seems like a good idea to have more close combat doods so I replaced a bunch of guns with swards does that sound right? I'll bring all my weapons so that if I have totally mucked it up you guys can help get my head on straight.

Re: I'm like in Ontario now.
Whatever you can manage, we will just wing it. If you have close-combat dudes, give them like some kind of vehicle or something so they can deploy faster. As long as they either kill stuff or die it will be cool, but if they get stuck walking around the whole game and don't do anything that would kind-of suck.
Oh and just so you have a frame of reference, this is the force I will be fielding:

Re: I'm like in Ontario now.
I should be able to get a ride, so I can bring a bunch of terrain. I have the Medieval Market Village set still assembled, and a few other small buildings put together. As for baseplates, I have a decent amount, as you've seen the past two times. I'll put together a fuel depot or something that can explode, because BrikWars. This will all have to wait, though, since I'm bogged down with assignments until Thursday.
As for minifigs and whatnot, I'll limit myself to this: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=10582
Might not even bring the two peach-zombie-creating people. The only change I might make to this is giving everyone a powerful weapon. They all just have standard stuff right now, so I'll probably throw in a grenade launcher, propane tanks, and something for the death guys.

Wow I have nothing nearly as cool or creative as you guys or enough bricks to make that stuff lol I threw together a tank but I don't know if I will be able to bring its. And I can always give the guys their guns back it just seemed to me from reading the rules (which is a very scewed perspective as I have no base for many of them) that once you get into close combat you are kind of screwed if you have a gun. And they seemed to lead to more close stuff. I'll bring all my weapons and have every thing as ready as I can and maybe get some tips before hand.

Re: I'm like in Ontario now.
The best thing to do is to give most of your guys guns, but have some CC units for situations where they're needed. If you don't have enough minifigs, make a machine or monster to be your CC unit. Guys with guns can always fire from cover, but CC units just have to take the hits if they want to do anything, so they need high numbers and/or toughness to make them last.
Heck, you could even put some saws on the front of a car and ram people with it.

Re: I'm like in Ontario now.
Giving armour to CC units also works, especially if they have a vehicle to transport them into battle.

Re: I'm like in Ontario now.
Do you guys still want to do a scenario? We should think about terrain/characters to augment that. A situation like "find the thing and bring it to the thing" might be a good way to start?
Personally I'll bring a force similar to what Natalya just posted. My bricks are in semi-storage right now but I'll try to nuild vehicles that are more original than what I brought last time.
