What traits truly are inherent of ones biological sex and which are standards brought about through sociological conditioning?

For instance, I see myself as a caring, nurturing, and intellectual individual.
In my childhood, that would mostly describe women in the local area, while most men were emotionally distant factory workers or farmers.
