Re: Real Men of the Galaxy Patrol
I think you can safely change their name from 'Patrol' to 'Planet Sweepers' now
Now get a bunch of Space Orks and do a battle.

Thank you, thank you, and thank you.Quantumsurfer wrote:Mon Dieu!
All this...so goddamn gorgeous. I love (no, listen)...I FUCKING LOVE your heavy weapons. And Captain Titus is super excellent. And your hover craft is lovely.
I should put together a wiki page that you'll end up having to reformat at some point.
It's a big Galaxy, there's a lot to Patrol.Bragallot wrote:I think you can safely change their name from 'Patrol' to 'Planet Sweepers' now

Unfortunately I have like two Space Orcs. I intend to pick up a few more but I kind of blew my wad (of Lego cash) on these guys, there's no way I can afford enough Lego Orks to put up a decent fight.
Thanks!Ben-Jammin wrote:Captain Titus
That lascannon is a great design.
The Lascannon was originally a lot smaller, but when I built the Dreadnaught I had to beef the design up to make it look right. I redesigned the man-portable one to match, and it looks a lot better now I think.

Re: Real Men of the Galaxy Patrol
What use is having a force like this if you have no one to fight them?
You could always make scavs.

Re: Real Men of the Galaxy Patrol
They look great! Nice work on the heavy weapons (but that has already been said by everyone). Don't they need some kind of drop-pods for insertions from orbit? A square dropship like the ones in starship troopers is doable, or judging from your other builds, you could do them better looking
Re: Real Men of the Galaxy Patrol
They're a project. Hopefully I'll get to field then or some portion of them against a live opponent at some point.Bragallot wrote: What use is having a force like this if you have no one to fight them?
I'm sure I can come up with something. You could always make scavs.

Don't worry, hearing it doesn't really get old. Thank you.Cakeman wrote:They look great! Nice work on the heavy weapons (but that has already been said by everyone).
It's funny, I hadn't really considered making them drop po- err, orbital insertion vehicles before, but they're a great idea. I'll have to knock a couple up.Don't they need some kind of drop-pods for insertions from orbit?

I'm feeling the HEET.
An army marches on its stomach, and its favorite food is fudge.

You don't need an Op For, just have these guys roll up on whatever and start purging in the name of the Space Emperor.
This reminds me, what size are Games Workshops minis?

They do look impressive all lined up, but all that took was spending too much money.Whiteagle wrote: Dude... where do you live?

Sometimes I try to imagine them as a set that came in one big box with whatever the final price tag was... I bought some pretty big chunks at a time but yikes.
They're a bit smaller than a Minifig. I can try to take some comparison shots next time I take some photos. This reminds me, what size are Games Workshops minis?

Good enough, but I would SO troll my local GW store by trying to claim this was a legitimate Warhammer Army if I had that many Galaxy Patrolmen... or a GW store anywhere near me...lorbaat wrote:They're a bit smaller than a Minifig. Actually GW has a company policy that states armies must be at least 50-75% GW or frogeworld models to use in the storeWhiteagle wrote:Good enough, but I would SO troll my local GW store by trying to claim this was a legitimate Warhammer Army if I had that many Galaxy Patrolmen... or a GW store anywhere near me...lorbaat wrote:They're a bit smaller than a Minifig.
