The Macbooks are perfectly good hardware for running creative studio programs like Photoshop or Ableton, word processing, web browsing, and light gaming (although of course you'll needreally want a mouse) , and OSX is also not a bad operating system at all (although of course you could install something else on your macbook, OSX is what will be on it already). I think that the price that Apple asks for them is 100-400% too high, but nobody says you have to buy them from the Apple Store. For the idiots out there- a Mac is also a PC, if you feel any kind of brand loyalty to Apple or Dell or Asus or whatever, you are dumb and gullible. Hardware is hardware, it gives no fucks about who built it, who bought it, and in most cases, what is installed on it.
