I love the fact the first thing horseman remembered was my dream.

I've had others since, but that one still stands out as taking the fucking biscuit - one of my other dreamed ended up being turned into a tabletop setting on 4chan.

I just read that one, that would be both awesome, but scary as fuck. I think what would get to me the worst would be that ending part with the plaques and such... the mystery of it would stink.

Edit- And I just read the other dream you had that was first posted by mistake, that one was freaking cool. You should write a book about it.

I had a dream recently where I was in Gothenburg, just walking around on the street but noticing there were a lot of soldiers patrolling here and there. Suddenly missiles started dropping from the skies. The soldiers, who were apparently prepared for this, started escorting everyone to bomb shelters. The guy who was taking me to a shelter asked if I had a bike nearby. I remembered that yes, I did leave my bike at a museum. The soldier said that we better get that bike before we go to the shelter. Seemed reasonable to me.

I couldn't remember what the museum where I left my bike was called, however. But if I saw the name I would recognize it. We went down to the Gothenburg train central (which looked nothing like the real one) to check the bus stop lists, because surely the museum would be on one of them. While I was checking the lists, the soldier went to a restaurant and had an omelette. I eventually found the museum, it was called the "Comut Museum" (I have no idea what Comut means, it's not a Swedish word). So we headed to the museum to get my bike.

But the lady at the museum said that my bike was now owned by the museum and I couldn't have it. Too bad. Me and the soldier went to the museum's coffee shop and had some coffee and cookies. Then the dream ended.

Remus: Well yes, but I don't see how that applies here.

Broken image guy?

Another weird dream tonight, not really a nightmare, but still pretty violent:

There was an unrelated part before this dream where I was telling my dad about a Belgian celebrity who had just died (this guy actually died, two days ago) and my dad was telling me he couldn't care less, and couldn't remember who this guy even was (in real life, he does know him, he was a presenter of comedy programs, a columnist and more). I was walking down a descending road with my former neighbour, a forest hill to right and a descending slope to the left. There was also a bus stop somewhere. He was being a dick to me, trying to intimidate me, until two people crossed our path. I didn't recognize them both, but one of them was travesty from Continuum:

Image

I casually told my neighbour that was a guy who was on television (so at that point he was the actor), then the 'view' changed to a close-up of travesty' face, getting angry for some reason (so at this point, he was not the actor, but the character). Knowing his reputation for killing people for no reason, I told my neighbour to run, so we did, and travesty (and his accomplice, too, I think) came running after me.

The road ended into some sort of square open space, and someone was waiting for me in a car. At this point, I was no longer myself in the dream, because I had blonde hair and looked differently. The dream also forgot about my neighbour, who was nowhere to be seen. 'I' jumped into the car, and the driver (a girl) started driving around and drifting in circles, trying to slam into travesty or at least keep him away. He's unnaturally strong in the show, but it could be enough to kill him.

At this point, for some reason, the open space was being fought over by a lot of casual, weaponless people. There was no explanation, but in the dream I felt some had come to help 'me', while the others were working for travesty. The view shifted to travesty sitting on top of the slope, away from the combat, looking over the battle (which is very atypical for him). Something in that 'scene' gave me the revelation that 'my character' (because it wasn't 'me') was some kind of extra-terrestrial being in the guise of a human, and so was travesty, and that was why he was trying to kill me.

'I' opened the door to the car as it was still drifting around in circles and told the girl to stop it, that I would lure travesty into the open and that she had to ram the car into him as he came at me. The car (I contemplated jumping out and rolling dramatically but I felt it would kill me so I waited until it stopepd) stopped and I got out and ran up to travesty, mocking him for having tattoos (which he doesn't in the show) and looking like a tough guy while staying out of the fight. Eventually he jumped down and ran at me, 'I' gave the sign and the car smashed into him, killing him.

There was a black-out, and next thing I knew the battle was over, I was in one piece and looking into a monopoly box, looking for somewhere to write down my reslts, because I wanted to keep record of my kills and take the credit for killing travesty (actually, I didn't kill him, but eh), implying this was somehow all a game? Anyway, it wasn't the worst, but it didn't make much sense either, although I can see where most of this stuff comes from, as it often is with dreams I can make sense of it's a bunch of things I thought about / had on my mind that kinda just melded into one.

A dream I had last night . . .

The dream begins on some kind of pleasure cruise ship, corridors full of tourists, lush surroundings and constant movement - I have next to no idea where the hell I am as I simply set abut exploring.

Upon reaching a window I discover that I am staring out into space as far as the eye can see, in the far distance I can see what looks like a distant shattered orb of fire, dust and rocks.

I manage to find a nearby tourist information computer and search some information, the year is now 2708, I am on a space-bourne pleasure cruiser the "Unseen Horizon" heading on a cruise from Mars, past the ruins of Earth and then onwards to a gravity loop around the sun and out of the solar system before FTL jumping to Alpha Centauri and back again to Mars.

Most of the information on the machine is a type of infomercial setup, retelling the stories of mankinds first steps into space in the 2200's, colonizing Mars and discovering FTL, Mankind spreading through the systems within the local star cluster two decades before the Earth is suddenly and utterly destroyed by an untraceable asteroid that was traveling at a little under 0.6 the speed of light, even as a narrow collision, it shattered the planet and wiped the cradle world clean.

Mankind, spreads slowly but surely - even 500 years on we haven't fully regained our numbers and had to rebuild our infrastructure from scratch.

I find a keycard in my pocket for my room and find myself in a modest 2nd class suite - the equivalent of a modern 1st class room today - complete with a double bed, shower - holoscreen and shipwide intranet links.

I wander around the ship for quite some time, make a few friends and see the sights, the shops and the shows of the reasonably distant future.

As I eventually find myself in the central resturant section I check out some meals and some other sights - the whole ship seems to be an even split in style between the TEC from Sins of a Solar Empire, the hologram and cyberware tech from Dues Ex HR and the Queen Elisabeth II cruise ship.

At this moment, shit suddenly goes haywire.

Most of the tourists and crew don't get time to even think about what has gone wrong when both the lights and artificial gravity go offline at the same time - people suddenly go flying through the air from the motion of thier last footsteps before the gravity turned off.

Even in the midst of the main resurant I can hear what sounds like distant explosions, rumbles through the hull and all kinds of fuckery as I find myself drifting through the room.

As the Artificial gravity comes back online people drop back to the floor, broken bones, backs - abrasions and impalements all around as people come crashing back down onto the floor onto things they really shouldn't have - I only just avoid falling back down to the ground into a pile of broken glass that fell down beside me.

The lights however, do not come back online - and the emergency lights are sluggish, as far as the eye can see dim white and red lights come online but not all at once, the few crew members nearby are confused as hell as the main PA system comes back online - garbled to all hell between automated decompression alarms and boarding alarms.

Then the entire resturant level was treated to the sounds of small children and animals screaming in pain over the PA system before bursting out into deep, demonic laughter and then cutting to static.

Members of staff then struggle to lead distraught and paniced tourists together before informing us that they can lead us to a secured black box hold - a bunker style section inside the ship with its own food supplies and oxygen systems that can detach and act as a lifeboat for the ship in case of emergency, but we need to leave now to make sure we can avoid any further panic or problems.

And so we trek, through the ship - deep into its interior, beyond the usual tourist sections and into the bowels of the ship, industrial units, hydroponics, crew quarters you name it - we saw it, occasionally running into other survivors with the same stories as us.

Right up until we ran into the security teams.

This was the point where what I feared from the PA came to pass - this ship had been boarded by shit they had never seen before, in 500 years mankind had never run into a single alien, and now the ship was filled with the damn things, fleshy monsters tearing the external sections to hell on one side of the ship and devouring passengers and crew wether they where alive or dead.

With this in mind we kept moving as fast as we could to the centre of the ship - all the way up to the corridor where the black box part of the ship was meant to be, but something was off - the air seemed to hang in the air around us, it was too quiet and somehow the walls didn't feel right.

I tried to back the fuck off as my brain was setting every kind of primal alarm it could muster off as loud as it could - as the walls started to bend with people still in the corridor, heading into a black box that was turning into a giant throat.

The blackbox itself had become host to some kind of demon, that was laying in wait to devour hundreds of people at a time - and then using its massive tounge like organs to catch the survivors, drag them in as well and then reset the trap.

Somehow I managed to bolt my way out as security teams pepper sprayed what used to be a ship corridor with plasma rounds but to no avail - I shut my eyes and kept fucking running, letting my cowards incentive to get me the fuck outta dodge.

This was the point where I stoppped paying attention to where the fuck I was going and ran into a sealed bulkhead and over-rode the controls, force opening the doors and spacing myself into the next room that had been explosed to vacuum.

I don't remember what dieing in the vacuum felt like, but I remember seeing the underside of the ship - and the massive demonic growth that had latched onto the underside - the creature mimicing the black box lifeboat for what it really was - and the FTL section on the rear half of the ship had been blown all to hell, spewing out waves of purple as the space around it seemed to be melting, pouring out thousands of distant creatures that then massed all over the ship.

A moment later part of the ship seemed to explode violently and the whole thing dissapeared in an instant, leaving me in empty space filled with bodies and charred remains as I woke up.

-----

As a setting - I think my dream may have been the birth of a space hulk - would it have play worthy potential for a tabletop session at all?

Sounds bitchin. As long as we're talking about aliens and not actual demons. I have about this much || love for hell in space. But yeah, totally a lot of potential for a tabletop session. It's evocative without being overbearing.

That's rather messed up. Well at least the ship exploded.

A week or so ago I dreamed there was a Xenomorph in my room as I was sleeping which sneaked up on me. I woke up when it put its hand right beside my head. The transition from being asleep to being awake was actually so brief and fluid (I was even lying in exactly the same position as in the dream) that it felt real (I even thought I actually saw and heard something move when I *actually* opened my eyes, something that happened without me noticing it), and so I thought the Xenomorph was still there for a second, until I was properly awake and realized it was just another silly dream.
