The Beginning of the End

The Magic SOB forum is for posts of story sequences that are frequently vignette-based. Put those here while actual battle reports can go in Reports From the Field.
You must talk like James T. Kirk in this forum at all times. Leonard Nimoy is fine too.

The Beginning of the End

Post by AokDSM » Tue Mar 12, 2013 3:42 am

Hospital 555...

Voice:Awake... my son. Go out and conquer.
Unidentified Voice: Wha...? AUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURGH.
ProtoFig: He is awake. He speaks.
Image
Deadly SpaceMan: Where am I? Who am I?
Voice:I have brought you to Hospital 555. You are the original Deadly SpaceMan.
Deadly SpaceMan: Huh. Yeah, thats right. Why am I lying here? *looks around* New walls, new flooring. They must have upgraded.
Voice:Through my limitless love for war, I have recreated you from the scraps your body was in, because only you can defeat the limitless enemies occupying my Universe.
Deadly SpaceMan: Who are you...?
Voice: :mystery:
Deadly SpaceMan: Tell me now, or I'll rip you to shreds. This isn't funny. :fist:
Voice:Too bad. Stop asking questions.
Deadly SpaceMan: TELL ME WHO YOU ARE, YOU SONOFA-
*The Universe shakes, the ProtoFigs moan, terrified*
Voice:Uh uh uh.... :rtfm: If you want to survive, don't insult me like that.
Deadly SpaceMan: ... Fine. Just... tell me what you want. Hurry up so I can get back to conquering the universe.
Voice:How can you be so clueless. You are Aibel. Leader of the Deadly SpaceMen. I have revived you, placed you in Hospital 555. This is a new beginning. The Beginning of the End.
Deadly SpaceMan: Quit talking so riddley like.
Voice:I AM THE DREAD PIRATE TWO-BY-TWO. I CREATED YOU, AND GAVE YOU LIFE. BOW DOWN AND ACKNOWLEDGE ME, BEFORE I KILL THE GREATEST WARRIOR IN EXISTENCE.
Deadly SpaceMan: Go die in a black hole.
*The silence shakes the Universe. The ProtoFigs hold their breath(like they always do).*
Dread Pirate Two-By-Two:Shut up. This isn't turning out how I hoped it would turn out. Anyway, look. There's the universe, go conquer it. Revive the SpaceMan Empire. Go find your children. Get the artifacts back. Overthrow those pretenders. PREPARE THE UNIVERSE FOR RAGNABLOK! (A year late.)
Farewell. Live long and conquer.

Deadly SpaceMan: Wait! Tell me more!
Dread Pirate Two-By-Two: :rtfm: Read up on the wiki.

Nice intro, this has potential.

He's clearly a poser as he's not wearing a vintage helmet

True to the prophecies... the original DSM must wear the new helmet. Believe me, he isn't happy either.

Deadly SpaceMan:I hate this new helmet.
Dread Pirate 2by2:Deal with it.
Deadly SpaceMan:The database HUD is weird. I hate how there are balloons instead of the old box shapes.
Dread Pirate 2by2:Quit dwelling on the past. You'll need that new helmet for Ragnablok.
Deadly SpaceMan:Couldn't you have at least put the old OS on this helmet?
Dread Pirate 2by2:No. Shut up.
Deadly SpaceMan:Man, you revive me from the dead for the sole purpose of reconquering the universe and YET you neglect my vintage, original, helm-
Dread Pirate 2by2:VINTAGE? VINTAGE?! I'LL SHOW YOU VINTAGE! :fist:
Image
Deadly SpaceMan:Woah. So, this is like... a giant OTC?
Dread Pirate 2by2:It is the original OTC. One of the original Artifax of Pre-Creation.
Deadly SpaceMan: *Does quick reference on helmet database* Looks like some dude named Piltogg owns it.
Dread Pirate 2by2: In a way... You see, when you gave the original OTC to Krystos, the SBODSM realized that that much power in non-DSM hands would be dangerous for the universe. They created an "OTC attractor," which drew half the power from the original OTC, and fashioned that same power into this one.
Deadly SpaceMan: So... this is a manifestation of half the power of the original OTC?
Dread Pirate 2by2: Yes. The original OTC was far beyond normal OTCs in terms of power. When this one was created, it balanced them out more. the original OTC is still more powerful than most OTC's however.
Deadly SpaceMan: Why is it so big though? Why not just have it look like a normal OTC?
Dread Pirate 2by2: Giant things are cooler.
Deadly SpaceMan: Can I touch it?
Dread Pirate 2by2: Yes. Ahhh, where were we. Oh yes, thats right. I was mad at you about vintage stuff. I go to all this work... and you complain over a helmet.
Image
Deadly SpaceMan: Well, besides this... knock-off power-draining original OTC thing, there really isn't any vintage DSM tek...
Dread Pirate 2by2: Oh really?
Image
VWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO-oooooooooorp!
Image
Deadly SpaceMan: Teleportation Tek? Yeah, we had that back in the day, but I still don't see much vintage..... age.... wowow.
Image
Dread Pirate 2by2: Took me a while to find a good rift in the Space-Time... but I finally found one when that Green DSM came to troll Piltogg. I traversed the gap and ripped an entire R.1978 Space Base for you. Complete with all the standard equipment and vehicles. Vintage enough for you?
Deadly SpaceMan: YES! :studgod:

Feel free to call me out if anything won't work with anyones storyline. I know I am encroaching on Piltogg's here.

Remember that rekonstruktions can work like parallel universes in a way, so what you do to X faction in your rekonstrucktion will not necessarily effect the rekonstruktion of the owner of the faction in question, nor, indeed, the faction itself. In your rekonstruktion you can come to Pekab and totally wipe it out, and it won't bother me in the least coz it doesn't effect what I do with Pekab one little bit.

I disagree with Pkbrennan, parallel universes are a cop out.
