Visually, looks amazing.

Otherwise, could be really neat. Could be as pretentious and force fed as District 9. With Damon in it, it could go either way.

Discuss.

Fuck yeah we finally have a trailer. If this movie is any good Neil Blokkamp will become my favorite director.

This looks promising. It's got the future utopia and the future dystopia all in one. Hopefully they won't beat us over the head with a haves vs. have-nots message. I was also reminded of Command and Conquer 3, with the blue zones and the yellow zones.

I found District 9's online add campaign to be misleading about what the movie was going to be like.

The first time I saw District 9 it was unbearable. I couldn't stomach what they were doing to the prawns.

Each time after that I was able to desensitize myself.

I also enjoyed District 9. There's something about unspeakable atrocities that just goes great with cotton candy and popcorn!

District 9 is one of my favourite movies of all time.

But then again, I haven't seen many movies from before the 80's, so...

I am really looking forward to this movie. Matt Damon looks like he'll do a good job as the main character, and I have a lot of faith in Neill Blomkamp's sci-fi universe building abilities.

I plan to watch 2001: A Space Odyssey, Casablanca, Citizen Kane, and whatever classics I haven't seen.

80's movies are on TV all the time, so I've seen quite a few. Still haven't seen Blade Runner, though. :(

MY SON. WATCH THAT SHIT TODAY.

If you can't get hold of a copy I will gladly send you a director's cut of it. Surely you can play .mp4s, right?

When I watch it, I will definitely watch the director's cut. I haven't seen the original release version, but from what I've heard, the director's cut sounds a lot better.
