In related news, for roller derby, all skaters who compete for WFTDA travel teams such as myself must have their minimum skills tested once a year to ensure the safety of participants, so we have to prove we can do some basic skating skills. One of those skills is you must be able to skate 27 laps around the derby track in 5 minutes or less. I had to do my minimum skills today, but I have been sick with a cold all week so I felt very weak, so when they tested me on this right before it started I went over to the iPod used for our playlist at the arena and selected Angel of Death because that is an awesome song to skate hard and fast to, so that played while I did my 27. I got them in 4:20 which made it even better.

@Keldoclock:
You read that comic too? Holy shit!!

Yeah they updated the requirements about a month ago. But honestly, 27 in 5 isn't much harder. If I wasn't so sick I would have tried to set a new personal record, but I was dying by the time I got to 27. (Current record for me is 30, I saw one girl do 31 once so I want to beat that.)

Well done Natty, and yes, it is sad to see someone as talented as Jeff leave the mortal realm. May he riff in piece.

IKR? on the stoner remark lol.

I like QC because it has so many queer characters who actually matter and the author isn't afraid to do filler for the sake of character development. IRL I am surrounded by straight people so it is refreshing to see other people like me. I got excited when Tai and Dora got together, and then when Claire came out as trans I know that made some waves in the queer community but so far I think the author hasn't done anything fucked up with her status.

I thought pushing the whole marten/claire hookup thing got a little out of hand. He said he didn't wanna do it, but he ended up doing it anyway, and it put a lot of sexual tension where there didn't need to be any. I thought it was just a tad objectifying.

As queer as things get, I still think hanners/marigold are the best friend pairing ever.

Yeah that part with Claire//Marten, I mean, that was kinda weird, but then again someone going on a road trip for a day for a friend's parent's wedding is kinda weird too. Unless she really was that bored.

Really? I just assumed it was the same as the pizza guy/Marigold moments or the ones where Hannalore is put in various innuendos.

Hannelore is my favourite lol. Well, maybe Samantha, I mean, SKULLMASTER, is my favourite.

Hmm I don't know, if Claire and Marten had a thing I wouldn't be upset but I can see why other people would be bothered but like whatever as an author he can do what he wants.
