Re: In the Cold North - Forum RPG
Let me try my hand first. I'm not a very fast runner.
I look for any trapped mechanisms in the lock and, if I find none, I try to pick it.

Re: In the Cold North - Forum RPG
Gregor examines the lock. It is a simple keyhole in the door, and he can't see anything suspicious about it. He gets his lockpicks out and starts working.
Rolled Lockpicking 19+4 vs. DC
After a short while, Gregor hears the "click" he was waiting for. The door is unlocked.

Re: In the Cold North - Forum RPG
You see a small room that the door from the goblins' room leads to, just as you expected. The room is bare apart from a large mirror on the wall opposite you. It seems to consist of polished ice, but the mirrorframe is made from the same kind of white rock as the stone you found. When you look into the mirror you see an odd reflection. Your clothes, armor and equipment are visible... but not your bodies.

Continue doing what? Are you gonna fuck with the mirror, or keep exploring?

Re: In the Cold North - Forum RPG
You leave the strange mirror alone. Saucix leads the party to the second to last unexplored room, opening the third door leading from the mink's room.
Behind it is a small room. A huge humanoid is sitting on the floor, leaning back on the wall, immobile. The creature seems to be made entirely out of ice, with frostwhite eyes and icicle teeth. You guess it would be about eight feet tall if it stood up. In its left hand it clutches a white stone orb, identical to the one Saucix found. In its right hand is a long sword, covered in frozen blood. Lying on the floor before the humanoid are two goblin corpses, frozen completely solid.
The creature's torso has a pair of long "scars"; tears in the ice that appear to have been filled with new ice over time.

I'm in the other room so I can't advise you in-character, but holy fuck leave that thing alone. Shove shit in front of the doors and seal off that horrible, horrible thing.
Don't thaw it, don't fuck with it.
ALSO: maybe someone should hold one of these weird rocks in front of the mirror?

I'm going to throw a crumb at it and run into the north room.
