I don't think so, but I also don't know anything about it yet. Every time I try to run it, it tries to download the massive patch, and since there's a million and one people all trying to download that patch, the servers are clogged and it keeps fucking up.

Basically the way it works is the FPS is part of the colony and space station control parts of EVE- corps will hire your guy to mess with the research and cashflow of other corps, you spend the money on guns and armor and shit. The best players and groups of players will naturally command a higher price, and in this way two very different kind of gamers can play the same game.

A nice little development for those who love the universe of Eve, but hate the game. Dark Horse comics is starting a mini-series on EVE, called true stories. the first mini instalment is ready now to view for free for a limited time, Here, There is an account wall, but it just wants a name and an E-mail, no verification or anything. It's a short story, and not much more than a little introduction to what will hopefully be a grander tale based upon actual player events in the game, but if you like spaceships, it's more than worth the read.

EVE is now on Humble Bundle \o/ If you've ever wanted to try EVE with a full account for up to 51 days, the next 20 hours are your chance. Make 14 day trial account, then buy the pack for a single cent, apply the code you get to your trial account for a 44 day account. For a 51 day account, hunt down an EVE player with an active account (whoops) and get a buddy link off them, reddits /r/eve will help you.

If EVE has ever interested you, it's a case of know will be likely the only time you get to try it out for a good amount of time with the benefit of a full account.
