They where going to start a DC -vs- Marvel argument, if anything I believe my reply was an under-reaction.

The biggest problem with Superman is that he's not Batman.

We all know that Superman and Batman would both lose in a fight against My Little penises. Unless they got help from Gandalf the Grey and Gandalf the White and Monty Python and the Holy Grail's Black Knight and Benito Mussolini and the Blue Meanie and Cowboy Curtis and Jambi the Genie, Robocop, Terminator, Captain Kirk and Darth Vader, Lo Pan, every single Power Ranger, Bill S. Preston and Theodore Logan, Spock, the Rock, Doc Ock and Hulk Hogan.
Remus: Harry... I'm a werewolf.
Harry: Are you fucking serious?
Remus: Well yes, but I don't see how that applies here.

Especially if they all came out of nowhere lightning fast. They'd kick Applejack and her cowboy ass.

Close: but he was a useless turd as an adult because this iteration of Jonathan Kent was a paranoid isolationist who constantly told Clark to hide who he was and what he could do- even OVER helping people.

Which I can't help feel directly leads to a useless turd of an adult Superman.

Which is all well and good, but still makes for a pretty shitty Superman movie.

Oh, no argument there.
