World War Z

Postby Alcatraz » Mon Jun 24, 2013 9:36 am

World War Z is a pretty good movie that blends reality with science fiction. There were quite a few tense moments. I didn't like the running zombies because it's not really possible. The movie also deviates from the book quite a bit. But World War Z is a great movie, everyone should see it.

Casablanca was a good movie. Why aren't you busy appreciating Casablanca?

Zombies are becoming so over done, it's getting really annoying. Yes, I know that WWZ was written during the last zombie "phase" (early 2000's to about 2006 or 7), then vampires had their hay day. Now we're back to zombies. But still, it's getting awfully annoying.

At first I was mad that it doesn't have a thing to do with the book, but it's supposedly pretty good. I'll let you know my opinion when I go see it.

Also, the book builds a very impressively rich setting. It's characters are relateable, diverse and interesting. I would put it in my top three favourite books.

Also, zombies have been popular since the sixties, and vampires even earlier. I would get used to both being around forever in American pop culture and cinema.

I get that it will always be around, its just that at the moment everything that comes out, has to have a zombie.

Yeeeeah you can get out now. Begone from my forums - come back when you see they bastardised the book for box office ratings.

Next you'll be telling me twilight is the best book to film conversion on the planet and that Robert Patterson is a god among men.

Although to be fair, this started happening pretty much immediately after World War Z and the Zombie Survival Guide got published. People went ape-shit over zombies then, and it really kicked the zombie craze into overdrive.
