Vermin idea

Post by CreatioNZ » Sun Oct 05, 2008 9:32 pm

Hello, I was thinking that the point cost of vermin is zero could not just be looked over. So I was thinking that you could use vermin as minifig transports. all you have to pay for is the movement and mind, which should be nothing as its size is zero.

example

vermin = 0cps
12"movement = 6cps
mind = 0 cps (or minifig controlling it aswell)

total = 6cps, for dispensible fast minifig transport. probably one minifig per vermin though due to their..size. Thats not very cost effective I hear you say.. well what if you get heaps of vermin and place them under a platform, the platform having zero armour as well (meaning cost of wall = inches x 0.5)...

great for black fantsay/spider/monster/creepy themed transports
just an idea to confuse people when you dup a pile of rats and spiders on the table.

except that they're too small to carry minifigs.

i'm not sure where in the rulebook it says that, but i'm fairly certain that creations can carry up to their own size in weight. adding carriers adds to the max. so two size 1 minifigs can carry a size 2 object, but infinite size 0 creatures still can't carry anything.

Size 0 creatures can carry Size 0 objects, like equipment items or other Size 0 creatures. This makes them handy for delivering fresh weapons to the troops.

Fudge fudge fudge your way to victory. Yeah, I'd like my dark lord of death to be transported my a swarm of vermin. That would be ossum. So why not? Just make a special rule for a certain minifig that makes him move 1 or 2 inches faster because he rides a swarm of vermin. Then if there are any enemy figs moving within a 2 inch radius they have their movement distance decreased by 2 because they have to wade through the filth LoL. The swarm could even remain around his body after he dies to create a cool obstacle! Now all this needs is cp....

Or, you could just spend those 6CP to add 12" to the minifig's movement directly, so this doesn't seem all that unbalanced.

Swarms of vermin have an awful lot of potential though, due to the inherent coolness of swarms of vermin. I wonder if there's a good way to set up some Swarm rules to give the abilities of a larger-sized creature once you clump together a sufficient group of vermin.

You can just add more movement to minifigs???

Do pink flowers count as vermin? I've got a lot of those...
I think those stats only apply to non-Mexicans.

off course pink flowers can fly.
just like beers do, and red and green cake launching cannons.
and my palace.
Act first, then think, then try to find a way to cover up the horrible mess you made.

Wtf now pink flowers fly?

What do jet fighters do? Dance and sing while changing the diaper of a baby?
